atul's bollywood song a day- with full lyrics

Tumse badhkar duniya me naa dekha koyi aur

Posted on: September 8, 2008

The first thing that many younger people may notice in this song is that Rakesh Roshan, the father of the present day superstar Hritik Roshan ( but to me the son of music director Roshan) had ample hair on his head unlike the takla that he is these days. Rakesh Roshan was just managing to keep his nose above water as an actor those days, and this movie “Kaamchor” helped his cause a great deal.

One of the main reason why this movie was liked by the audience was the music. And this music was composed by another son of Roshan, viz Rajesh Roshan, who enhanced his reputation by coming up with some nice music in this song.

This particular song- “tumse badhkar duniya mein” was a song that may have done the most good for this movie. It was a very nice song depicting the feelings of a couple in love trying to overcome family problems.

song- tumse badhkar duniya me (Kaamchor) (1982) Singers-Chandru Atma, Kishore Kumar, Alka Yagnik, Lyrics-Indeewar, MD-Rajesh Roshan

Lyrics

tumse badhkar duniyaa mein
tumse badhkar duniyaa mein

aaj dil ki baat aa gayi
tumse badhkar duniyaa mein
na dekha koyi aur zubaan par
aaj dil ki baat aa gayi

kya khoob aankhen hain teri
inmein zindgaani hai meri

kyaa Khoob aankhen hain teri
inmein zindgaani hai meri

jee lenge ham dekh dekh ke inko
kyaa Khoob aankhen hain teri
tu hi tu Khwaabon mein
tu hi tu Khwaabon mein hai
na dooja koyi aur zubaan par
aaj dil ki baat aa gayi
tumse badhkar duniyaa mein
na dekhaa koyi aur zubaan par
aaj dil ki baat aa gayi

sundartaa toone wo paayi
naazaan hai tum pe Khudaayi
naaz nahin apne par phir bhi tujhko
sundarta toone wo paayi
dil ka haseen tere jaisa
dil ka haseen tere jaisa
na dekha koyi aur zubaan par
aaj dil kii baat aa gayi
tumse badhkar duniyaa mein
na dekhaa koyi aur zubaan par
aaj dil ki baat aa gayi

baaton mein teri ik ada hai
teri ada mein wafa hai
phir phir tujhse milne ko ji chaahe
baaton mein teri ik ada hai
dil mein itna pyaar liye
dil mein itna pyaar liye
na aaya koyi aur zubaan par
aaj dil ki baat aa gayi
tumse badhkar duniya mein
na dekhaa koyi aur zubaan par
aaj dil ki baat aa gayi

I loved this song…and “tujh sang preet lagayi sajna” from the same movie.

I think this song was very popular in Binaca Geet Mala and and the end of the year, I was really hoping it would make it to #1.

As the countdown was happening, it looked better and better for this song.

And then, when it came down to the last 2, this song was played…

I was quite disappointed, especially because the # 1 song was one that I already did not like (and began liking even less after it became # 1) . That was “chai pe bulaaya hai”.

I may be wrong but this is how the Binaca Geet Mala went that year.

Are you sure, Raja ? I think that Nikaah Songs were number 2 and 3 in the 1983 Binaca geetmala final. ” tujh sang preet lagayi “was 10th, and I have no idea if this song ” tumse badhkar duniya me” actually figured in the Binaca geetmala final.

I like the way the song starts with the playing of 78 rpm record on the typical old gramophone player. The first line is sung Chandru Atma in the style of C H Atma to give a feel of an old song. It is only when the record gets stuck as used to happen quite often on old 78 rpm records, Kishore Kumar takes over. This video link gives better visual of the start of the song :

The film was produced by Rakesh Roshan and it was a box office success. I guess, titles of all his subsequent movies produced by him started with alphabet ‘K’.

It appears, Rakesh Roshan had used wig in this song. That means his hairline had already started receding in 1982.

lovely song :D
