I have stumbled upon yet another “new” song for me. The movie is called “aao pyaar karen”. It has Joy Mukherjee and Saira Bano as the lead actors and this is a movie from 1964, so one can safely assume that the story line has got to be similar to Shammi Kapoor movies of those days.
I have not watched the movie, but I think it is safe to make the above assumption.
And who are the playback singers? No they are not Rafi and Lata as one would expect in a Shammi Kapoor movie nor is Shankar Jaikishan the music director. Male playback singer is Mahendra Kapoor who those days was singing some very fine filmfare award winning songs. But the female singer is a surprise. It is none other than Usha Khanna, who is also the music director of this movie.
Though I herad this song for the first time today, I just loved the song. The song is exteremely hummable. Rajinder Krishan, the lyricist has written a wonderful song.
This song also hapens to be the title song of this movie, since the phrase “aao pyaar karen” figures prominently in this song.

The name of the movie does not ring a bell. Let me see if I can locate this song.

Hey Atul-ji I need a perticular song that I cant find anywhere else – and its such a nice song also – the film is 1974 ghatna – music director ravi – singer lata – mere devta main tumhari hoon dasi tumhari rahi hoon tumhari rahoongi….pls help this kanjoos who cant buy this CD;)
