atul's bollywood song a day- with full lyrics

Tumne pukaara aur ham chale aaye

Posted on: February 23, 2009

Rafi-Shammi songs typically were cheerful songs sung with such high energy that the listeners would have no option but to get infected with the exuberance contained in the song. Such songs are sure to cheer people up. Every time one is feeling low, one can try listening to these songs. One can get invigorated in no time.

And there are many such songs and one has many choices.

The songs of “Raj Kumar” are amazingly exuberant.I have no idea how a pied piper was able to make people follow him, but the music of “Raj Kumar” definitely have that pied piper quality. Its song “Aaja aayi bahaar” is so inviting that one would get attracted towards the movie hall.

And what would the person getting attracted to the movie hall say ? He would sing this song “tumne pukaara aur ham chale aaye, jaan hatheli par le aaye re”.

I am sure many people attarcted to the movie hall by this song would definitely be going there by taking risks (jaan hatheli par le aaye) if they did that by bunking their jobs or classes.

This wonderful song is sung by Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. Shailendra is the lyricist and Shankar jaikishan composed the music. Shammi Kapor and Sadhana figure in the picturisation of this song.

As I said earlier, this song is one that will cheer you up. It cannot be otherwise.

And for those who look for humour in any situation, one may find some amusement in the fact that Shammi Kapoor comes for the meeting “carrying his heart in his palms” (“dil hatheli par le aaye”), Sadhana comes for the meeting “carrying her life in her palm” (Jaan hatheli par le aaye).

Song-Tumne pukaara aur ham chale aaye (Raj Kumar) (1964) Singers-Rafi, Suman Kalyanpur, Lyrics-Shailendra, MD-Shankar Jaikishan

Lyrics

aaa aaa
tumne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
dil hatheli par le aaye re
tumne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
dil hatheli par le aaye re
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
jaan hatheli par le aaye re
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye

aao baitho hamaare pahloo mein panaah le lo
meri jalti huyi aankhon pe ye aankhen rakh do
ai mere pyaar ke khwaabon ki haseen shahzaadi
honth kyon kaanp rahe hain, zaraa kuchh to bolo
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
jaan hatheli par le aaye re
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
jaan hatheli par le aaye re
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye

aaj khelo meri zulfon se, ijaazat hai tumhen
mujhko chhoo lo, meri nas nas mein sharaare bhar do
mere dildaar meri aankhon mein rahne waale
main tumhaari hoon, meri maang mein taare bhar do
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
dil hatheli par le aaye re
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
dil hatheli par le aaye re
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye

naam raushan hai tumhin se mere afsaane kaa
zindagi naam hai ulfat mein jiye jaane kaa
tum agar hamko na milte to ye soorat hoti
log le jaate janaazaa tere deewaane kaa
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
jaan hatheli par le aaye re
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
jaan hatheli par le aaye re
tum ne pukaaraa aur ham chale aaye
dil hatheli par le aye re
tumne pukaara aur ham chale aaye
