atul's bollywood song a day- with full lyrics

Adaa se jhoomte huye

Posted on: March 26, 2009

Chitragupta Srivastava, better known as Chitragupta, made his debut as a music director in 1946. He had to wait for 6 years to deliver his first hit song.

The first hit song off his music direction was this duet from “Sindbad the Sailor” (1952). It was written by Anjum Jaipuri and sung by Rafi and Shamshad Begum. And this song is quite a liting song too, which I loved the very first time I heard it ( which was just one day ago !).

The song is picturised on Ranjan and Naseem Bano. I thank Mr Sadanand Kamath for this information.

Song-Adaa se jhoomte huye (Sindbad the sailor) (1952) singers-Rafi, Shamshad Begum, Lyrics-Anjum Jaipuri, MD-Chitragupta

Lyrics

ho ho
ho ho

Adaa se jhoomte huye dilon ko choomte huye
ye kaun
ye kaun muskura diya
ye kaun muskura diya
Adaa se jhoomte huye dilon ko choomte huye
ye kaun
ye kaun muskura diya
ye kaun muskura diya

hai aaj zindagi jawaan
basaa hai pyaar ka jahaan
hai aaj zindagi jawaan
basaa hai pyaar kaa jahaan
nazar ne dil ki saaz par
nazar ne dil ki saaz par ye kaisa geet gaa diya
Adaa se jhoomte huye dilon ko choomte huye
ye kaun
ye kaun muskura diya
ye kaun muskura diya

Jo ishq bekaraar hai
to husn par nichaar hai
Jo ishq bekaraar hai
to husn par nichaar hai
baras rahi hai chaandni
baras rahi hai chaandni
wo chaand gungunaa diya
Adaa se jhoomte huye dilon ko choomte huye
ye kaun
ye kaun muskura diya
ye kaun muskura diya

nazaare mast ho chuke
ham apne dil ko kho chuke
nazaare mast ho chuke
ham apne dil ko kho chuke
na jaane aaj kisne ye
na jaane aaj kisne ye naqaab e rukh utha diyaa
Adaa se jhoomte huye dilon ko choomte huye
ye kaun
ye kaun muskura diya
ye kaun muskura diya

Video link is no longer working. Here is the new video link :

The song was picturised on Ranjan and Naseem Bano. There is some similarity in orchestration of this song with that of ‘ Abhi to main jawan hoon’ from AFSANA (1951).

Thanks for the link as well as identification of the artists.
