This song “Tera mera pyaar amar hai” is an iconic song. But all these days I was not aware which movie this song was from. Now I know, and this song is from a 1962 movie called “Asli Naqli”.

Here is a lovely song from Shikast (1953). It is a duet sung by Talat Mehmood and Lata and it is picturised on Dilip Kumar and Nalini Jaiwant.

“Main Sundar Hoon” (1971) was a movie which did not do much at the box office, but its music was something special. Its songs were very popular during those days, epecially among youngsters.

Umbrella is typically used in Bollywood movies to protect actors from rain, and sometimes sun. Hero and heroine sharing an umbrella and getting drenched makes for some of the modst romantic scenes in Bollywood movies. Of course, it is much more romantic if they dispense with umbrella and decide to get drenched in rain.

The music of “Chitralekha” (1964) was a labour of love for Roshan. He had great hopes that his music and the movie would be great success. But the movie as well as its music failed to win the approval of audience. Roshan was heartbroken.
Dheere dheere chal chaand gagan mein

The word “Chaand” and its derivatives were quite common in Bollywood movies till 1970s, after which man reached the moon and mankind ( including Bollywood lyricists) would no longer look at “Chaand” with the same fascination.
