“Naya Zamana” (1970) was one of the first movies where Dharmendra and Hema Malini were seen together. In this movie, Dharmendra plays a union leader of a mill, whereas Hema Malini plays the daughter of the mill owner.

“Guest House” (1959) is an obscure movie by now. It is a movie where Ajit and Shakila played lead roles. Yes, those were the days when Ajit used to act as hero.

I have been posting songs from “Nadiya Ke paar” (1948) these days. Those were the days when none of the singinging legends had become legends. For instance, Rafi had yet to become the hottest male playback singer of the era.

“Jaalsaaz” (1959) is a movie I have discovered recently. It seems to be a treasure trove of some great songs which I never knew existed.

“Pyaar Kiye Jaa” (1966) was one Shashi Kapoor movie that was successful despite he being the solo hero of this movie. That is what I was told all these days.

When one talks of “Nadiya Ke Paar”, one is mostly reminded of the Rajshri Productions movie of 1980s. But there was another movie of this name in 1948.
