“Adhikaar” (1971) was a movie which was a musical blockbuster, though the movie itself flopped.
Though I have posted quite a few songs from this movie, even I was not aware of this song that is being posted now. This is supposed to be comedy song, but I call it “India culture best Western culture bad” song, since in this song, girls who adopt “western” outfits and western ways are mocked at whereas Indian ways of dressing and behaving are considered morally upright.
This song is sung by Manna Dey and it is picturised on Deb Mukherji and others.Ramesh Pant is the lyricist, whereas R D Burman, who was the number 1 music director those days composed the music.
