I have posted a few songs from “Do Bhai” (1947) in this blog. It is in this movie that Geeta Roy (later Geeta Dutt) made her debut as a playback singer. It is in this movie that she sang the well known “mera sundar sapna beet gayaa”.

I was not aware of this movie called “Anjaan” (1956). This by now obscure movie has Pradeep Kumar and Vyjyanti Mala in lead roles.

Believe it or not, thre was a movie called “Gyaarah hazaar ladkiyaan” (eleven thousand girls). This 1962 movie had Bharat Bhushan and Mala Sinha in lead roles.

In the second half of 1950s, we had movie titles beginning with Miss, Mr and so on. thus we had movies like Miss India, Miss India, Mr X, Mr and Mrs 55 etc.

This song is an archtypical Hemant Kumar song that I have heard several times. But apart from the knowledge of this being a song sung by Hemant Kumar, I was blank about any other details of this song.
