This song is sung by Mahendra Kapoor and it is picturisaed as a radio song/ microphone song on Sunil Dutt and Mala Sinha. Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist and Ravi composed the music.

Ravi and Mahendra Kapoor was the best combination. I was fortunate enough to hear Ravi sing some of his compositions few years ago.

The song is one of the best you can hear….the lyrics, you do not hear such lovely lyrics in todays songs…..the music by Ravi is one of the best ….the direction by Mr. Chopra is very good and the acting by each and every actor is at its best.
One amazing goodness about this movie is its direction. In this song when Sunil Dutt starts singing, the time is 4PM and as the song is being sung you will see the time elasping accodingly and when the song ends, the time taken by the song is actually the duration of the time of the song!!!!!Amazing……just watch the song
