Few people, including me have heard of this movie called “Apna Ghar Apni Kahani” (1968). This movie had come in an era when we had a glut of classy songs, and I do not recall ever listening to songs of this movie. Not that I could have been able to identify the songs as belonging to this movie, had I heard the songs then.
I stumbled upon this song yesterday while looking for another, even more scarce song from the same movie.
This movie was a C grade movie and it had Sudhir (the small time villain of those days) playing hero opposite Mumtaz !
Here is the title song of this movie, sung with feeling by Rafi. Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist and N Datta is the music director. This song is a rare gem that has been forgotten with time, mainly because the movie itself has been forgotten. But this song deserves to be much better known, and I am sure that the listeners listening to this song with agree with my view.

The lead pair in this movie is Shekhar and Bina Roy. Sudhir and Mumtaz are the second lead pair.

Heard for the first time the other song ‘chand koi diwana hai’ was more popular thanks foe the song

I am looking for a song by Lata from the same movie: Chor gaye bedardi humka le na gaye…
any idea where i can find it? been searching for it for ages. you look like a resourceful guy
