Here is a superb sentimental song from “Do Bhai” (1947). This is one of the earliest songs sung by Geeta Dutt that went on to become her calling card (the other such song being Mera sundar sapna beet gaya from the same movie).

I keep mentioning that Rafi was capable of singing with unbelievable amount of energy. I have often mentioned songs where I thought that the energy level in the singing was just mind boggling.

I was not aware about this movie called “Poonam” (1952). Once I became aware of this movie and I began to search for songs of this movie, I found that almost all these movies were sung by Lata and they were picturised on Kamini Kaushal as dance songs.

“Mere Jeewan Saathi” (1972) is full of great songs that were big rage during its heydays. The popularity of songs of this movie was just incredible.
