Posted on: August 24, 2010

“Hare Rama Hare Krishnaa” (1971) was a movie that was the biggest hit of the year. The movie as well as its music had taken the fans by storm at that time.

This movie was the debut movie of Zeenat Aman. In this movie she plays the sister of Dev saab. As times passed, Dev Saab grew younger and younger vis a vis his heroines and other actors. In the subsequent movies, Zeenat Aman would play Dev saab’s love interest and subsequently Dev saab acted opposite even younger actresses viz Tina Munim etc. It is good that Zeenat Aman called it a day in early 1980s otherwise Dev Saab was bount to play his song in one of his movies in 1980s.

Here is a popular song from “Hare Rama Hare Krishna”. This brother-sister song was a very popular song during its time. This song gets played in the movie when the brother and sister are young and subsequently the song gets sung again by the grown up brother and sister. Yes, this song helps unite the separated at childhood siblings in the last reel of the movie.

Here is this song, which is sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata and it is picturised on Dev saab and Zeenat Aman. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist and R D Burman composed the music.

Lyrics

hmm hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm
he he he he
ho ho ho ho
phoolon kaa taaron kaa, sabkaa kehnaa hai
ek hazaaron mein meri behnaa hai
saari umar hamen sang rehnaa hai
phoolon kaa taaron kaa, sabkaa kehnaa hai
ek hazaaron mein meri behnaa hai
saari umar hamen sang rehnaa hai
phoolon kaa taaron kaa, sabkaa kehnaa hai

jab se meri aankhon se ho gayi tu door
tab se saare jeewan ke sapne hain choor
he
jab se meri aankhon se ho gayi tu door
tab se saare jeewan ke sapne hain choor
aankhon mein neend naa man mein chainaa hai,
ek hazaaron mein meri behnaa hai
saari umar hamen sang rehnaa hai
phoolon kaa taaron kaa sabkaa kehnaa hai
he he he he
ho ho ho ho

dekho ham tum dono hain ik daali ke phool
main na bhoolaa tu kaise mujhko gayi bhool
haan
dekho ham tum dono hain ik daali ke phool
main na bhoolaa tu kaise mujhko gayi bhool
aa mere paas aa, kah jo kahanaa hai,
ek hazaaron mein meri behnaa hai
saari umar hamen sang rehnaa hai
phoolon kaa taaron kaa, sabkaa kehnaa hai

jeewan ke dukhon se yoon darte nahin hain
aise bachke sach se guzarte nahin hain
he
jeewan ke dukhon se yoon darte nahin hain
aise bachke sach se guzarte nahin hain
sukh ki hai chaah to dukh bhi sehnaa hai,
ek hazaaron mein meri behnaa hai
saari umar hamen sang rehnaa hai
phoolon kaa taaron kaa, sabkaa kehnaa hai
ek hazaaron mein meri behnaa hai
he
lalalalalala
ek hazaaron mein meri behnaa hai
ho
lalalalalaallalalala

you missed my request of the Bhai Bahen song: Chanda Re Mere Bhaiyya Se Kehna Behna Yaad Kare

Dekho hum tum hain dono ek daali ke phool …. nice lyrics.

Simple and beautiful lyrics
nice composition
excellent singing.

i prefer to call them happy and sad versions rather than Kishore Lata versions
