Though few people today talk of this movie, “Durgesh Nandini” (1956) was a well known movie even in 1970s when I was growing up in the sense that I used to read about this movie in magazines.
I had no idea what the movie was all about. Now I know that it is a mythological movie starring Pradeep Kumar and Bina Rai.
Here is a dream /fantasy song from this movie. The song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Bina Rai and Pradeep Kumar. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist and Hemant Kumar is the music director.
It is a magical composition that has the ability to leave its audience spellbound.

You hear this song in the night, after switching off the lights, the experience is” out of the world”, don`t laugh at me for writing this, I can`t convey the magical experience in words. Really do try this once, Lataji`s voice in this song is “out of the world”.
The same experience ,I felt ,also when I am hearing the Ravi`s music (for the film “Girls hostel (1962)(Ajit,nalini jaywant starrer))
(the song has been written by S.H.Bihari and sung beautifully by Asha bhosle and mohammed rafi:
“Ye haseen raat, ye bahaar ye samaa, …chalo hum dikhaye kya hai zindagi wahaan, baadalon ke paar ek chota saa jahaan…)
I am asking you for the” sky”, but I can`t help it.because I tried for this song in every record shop, in vain.
But can only hear this song ,once in a 6 months ,only through
Vividh bharti`s Chhayageet programme .
Really I belive you can fulfill my wish of adding this song to the blog, I have already requested this song once, but I want to request this song again, so that you keep this song in your mind , while writing.

excuse me once for this, but Keep this song in your mind, while you are going through the collection of songs, the song is really worthy for this much of attention.
