When India won the world cup on 2nd april 2011, it was a great feeling for millions of Indian cricket fans and they celebrated late into the nights and well into the next day and the next. The fact that the final was played on saturday and there were two days of holidays on the following days (Sunday being the normal holiday and monday being Indian calender’s new year day), people had enough time to celebrate and get over the hangover.
Here is my final offering of the day to celebrate this occasion. Since people are feeling on top of the world (cricketwise), one can say that they are feeling as if the world is in their pocket. What song does one sing when one feels on top of the world ? Here is this song. This is the title cum theme song of “Duniyaa Meri Jenb Mein ” (1979). This song is sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle. It is picturised on Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Ranjeet and others. Gulshan Baawra is the lyricist and Rajesh Roshan is the music director.

actually this used to be a oft repeated song in my friends circle during school days and there are many funny incidents connected with this song. today after all these years they were all rekindled
