atul's bollywood song a day- with full lyrics

Tera husn rahe mera ishq rahe

Posted on: July 20, 2011

“Do Dil” (1965) is a movie starring Vishwajeet and Rajshree. Just as Shammi Kapoor movies had wonderful music composed by Shankar Jaikishan, Vishwajeet movies tended to have great music by Hemant Kumar. Of course the singing voices remained the same.

Here is an awesome song from “Do Dil” (1965). This song is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Vishwajeet and Rajshree. Kaifi Azmi is the lyricist and Hemant Kumar is the music director.

The song has two versions and the lyrics are slighly different in the two versions.
Here are both versions of this song.

I became aware of this song only recently thanks to nahm who sent the lyrics of this song to me. Listening to this song is undoubtedly a divine experience.

Part I
———————————

Tera husn rahe mera ishq rahe
to ye subha yeh shaam rahe na rahe
chale pyaar ka naam zamaane mein
kisi aur ka naam rahe na rahe
tera husn rahe mera ishq rahe
to ye subha yeh shaam rahe na rahe
chale pyaar ka naam zamaane mein
kisi aur ka naan rahe na rahe
tera husn rahe mera ishq rahe
to ye subha ye shaam rahe na rahe

meri pyaas ka koyi hisaab nahin
teri mast nazar ka jawaab nahin
meri pyaas ka koyi hisaab nahin
teri mast nazar ka jawaab nahin
isi mast nazar se pilaaye ja
isi mast nazar se pilaaye ja
mere saamne jaam rahe na rahe
tera husn rahe mera ishq rahe
to yeh subha yeh shaam rahe na rahe

jo nigaah uthhi to payaam mila
jo nigaah jhuki to salaam mila
jo nigaah uthhi to payaam mila
jo nigaah jhuki to salaam mila
isi waqt bujha de lagi dil ki
isi waqt bujha de lagi dil ki
Ye payaam salaam rahe na rahe
tera husn rahe mera ishq rahe
to yeh subha yeh shaam rahe na rahe
chale pyaar ka naam zamaane mein
kisi aur ka naam rahe na rahe
tera husn rahe mera ishq rahe
to yeh subha yeh shaam rahe na rahe

sambhal zaraa

Atul ji,

One small typo error is Part II

koi thheek nahin ke bahaaron ka
yahan aur ‘qayaam’ rahe na rahe

qayaam = stay

Nahm ji,
In my humble opinion the word should be ‘qiyam’ which means Residence or stability-and NOT qayaam.
Qiyami means steady or stable.
Kindly check again.

Sir,

The word is pronounced as ‘Qayaam’ just like ‘Payaam’. Construction of both words is same. Isnt ‘to stay’ and ‘to reside’ the same thing ?

The other word is ‘Qaayam” which means fixed / stable or steady or in hindi the word is “sthhir”.

Usage of “Qaayam” :

Anand Bakshi wrote for Film ‘Charas’

Dil insaan ka ek tarazu jo insaaf ko tole
Apni jagah par pyar hai ” Qaayam ” dharti amber dole
Sab se bad sach ek jagat mien bhed anek jo khole
Prem bina jeewan suna yeh pagal premi bole

This is a prelude to the song “Ke aaja teri yaad aayi” . I would have given a link to the song, but Atul ji already has the lyrics of this song, which i hope he will post soon.

Sir, i request to listen to the pronounce of both words.

Nahm bhai,
As far as I know Qaayam is NOT a urdu word.It is a Hindi word spelt as Kaayam.
Further,Stay and reside are not same. For ex. ‘I stayed at the party for a short time’ and ‘I reside in Mumbai’ are two different things.
In Hindi K is not replaceable with Q.
In the above verse,it should be written as
Apni jagah par pyar hai kaayam, dharati ambar dole …..
Please note,I am not an Urdu expert, but a lover of the language.

Sir,

I agree the hindi word should be spelt as “Kaayam”. At the same time I assure you that there is an urdu word spelt as “Qaayam”. The meaning of the word in both languages is more or less the same. Still i cannot claim expertise in Urdu, just knowing the language well.
