atul's bollywood song a day- with full lyrics

Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai

Posted on: August 15, 2011

Today is India’s independence day. On this occasion, I greet all Indians, wherever they are, a very happy independence day.

On this occasion, here is a very special patriotic song. This song was written by a patriot who actually participated in the freedom struggle and was hanged by Britishers for his role in the Kakori conspiracy.

This poetry , written by Ramprasad Bismil soon became popular among freedom fighters and in fact it acquired cult status.

This song has been used on many occasions. For instance, it has been used in the movie “Shaheed” (1965) as well.

Here is this song from “Shaheed” (1965). Prem Dhawan is the music director and the song is sung by Rafi and Manna Dey with patriotic fervour.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by nahm.

Let us listen to this song and pay our tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation.

Song-Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai (Shaheed) (1965) Singers-Rafi, Mannadey, Lyrics-Ramprasad Bismil, MD-Prem Dhawan

Lyrics(Provided by nahm)

Ek se karta nahin kyun
doosra kuchh baat cheet
dekhtaa hoon main jise
wo chup teri mehfil mein hai
wo chup teri mehfil mein hai

sarfraoshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai
sarfraoshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai
dekhna hai zor kitna baazu-e-qaatil mein hai
sarfraoshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai

waqt aane par bataa denge tujhe o aasmaan
waqt aane par bataa denge tujhe o aasmaan
ham abhi se kya batayen
kya hamaare dil mein hai
kya hamaare dil mein hai
sarfraoshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai
dekhna hai zor kitnabaazu-e-qaatil mein hai
sarfraoshi ki tamanna abhamaare dil mein hai

aaa aaa
aaa aaa
aaa aaa
khainch kar laayi hai sabko
qatl hone ki ummeed
khainch kar laayi hai sabko
qatl hone ki ummeed
aashiqon ka aaj jamghat
koocha-e-qaatil mein hai
koocha-e-qaatil mein hai
sarfraoshi ki tamanna
ab hamaare dil mein hai
dekhna hai zor kitna
baazu-e-qaatil mein hai
sarfraoshi ki tamanna
ab hamaare dil mein hai
sarfraoshi ki tamanna
ab hamaare dil mein hai
aaaaa aaaaaa aaaa
sarfraoshi ki tamanna
ab hamaare dil mein hai
aaaaa aaaaaa aaaa
sarfraoshi ki tamanna
ab hamaare dil mein hai
