Hum dono deewaane

Posted on: October 20, 2011

“Madame Zorro” (1962), as the name suggests, is a quintessential B grade movie that very few people actually watch. And details about such movies are conspicuous by their absence. So our inhouse expert Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh has done a great public service by giving us all the details on this movie that we may ever need to know. Here is his fun take on this movie:-

MADAME ZORRO(1962) was an A.D. Production film(nothing to do with me,please),directed by AKKU,a khiladi in handling such movies !

If one takes a look at the cast itself, one can easily guess at the Title and the probable story of the movie. Azaad,Ramayan Tiwari,Bela Bose,Nadira,Bhagwan,Madhumati, just add Akku and Bulo C Rani to complete the recipe and to add masala(for sureshot whistles and clapping from the ‘respected’ audience) further add a Dog-Roma and a Horse-Mushtak and your A class C grade movie is ready !

Maharaja Jagajit Singh’s(Shaikh) forefathers had left 7 bottomless treasures for the welfare of the kingdom’s people, which prof.Shekhar(The Hon.Ramayan Tiwari),wants for himself. He creates a monsterlike creature,Faulad, with his science.Faulad kills maharaja, but the blame comes on Ajit(Azad),his son.He is jailed. He is freed by his fiance Maya(Nadira). Then he goes to his friend Jugnu Lohar(Bimala kumari) who breaks his shackles. Now she is jailed and Ajit frees her.
Meanwhile Prof.Shekhar is very busy in looting people and becomes a terror and a wanted man because of his Faulad.
A masked,Horse riding,Dog hiding mysterious woman-Madame Zorro appears from nowhere and establishes Law and Order in the Kingdom, and finally kills both Faulad and Prof.Tiwari-sorry,Prof.Shekhar,with the help of non-masked but bare bodied Ajit(Azad showing his muscles to one and all). you guessed it right ! The masked Madame Zorro is Maya(Nadira)

Needless to say,all is well that ends well !

Note: the roles of Dog Roma and horse Mushtak(what a name for a Horse in a film !) are equally done well. !!

Indeed, I have become an admirer of movies where dogs acts well. That gives my two dogs something to aim at in their lives. One of them, called Bholey, looks mean and barks menacingly at strangers. The other one, called Chhotey, cannot bark for his life but he lip syncs when Bholey is barking. :) And they keep in shape by regularly wrestling with each other. And the tricks that they apply on each other while wrestling are tricks that they have learnt from their cat companion called Nuppy. Nuppy is the same cat that you see seated on my laptop, if you look at my gravator image.

Here is another song from “Madame Zorro” (1962). This song is a duet sung by Rafi and Kamal Barot. Shewan Rizvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.

Only the audio of this song is available, so one can only guess about how and on whom this song is picturised. My guess is that Azad has to lip sync in Rafi’s voice, but I am not sure if the marked lady also joins the bare bodied Azad in this duet. I request AD (not the production house but our inhouse expert) to clarify matters for us.

Lyrics

aa haa haa
hum dono deewaane
hum dono mastaane
jab chalenge
sab jalenge
dekh ke raahon mein
hum dono deewaane
aa haa haa
hum dono mastaane
waah waah waah
jab chalenge
sab jalenge
dekh ke raahon mein

o zaalim kyun tadpaata hai
kyun kabhi kabhi thhukraata hai
haan mazaa isi mein aataa hai
o ho ho
aa haa haa
aa haa haa
he he he he
kyun dil pe teer chalaata hai
kyun meri gali mein aataa hai
haan mazaa isi mein aata hai
hum dono deewaane
aa haa haa
hum dono mastaane
jab chalenge
sab jalenge
dekh ke raahon mein

jab thhandi hawaa lehraati hai
meri raat ki neend ud jaati hai

haan pyaar yahi kehlaataa hai
aa haa haa
ho ho ho
aa haa haa haa
aa haa haa haa

kyun khaali gaal bajaataa hai
kyun tum bhi shor machaataa hai
haan mazaa isi mein aataa hai
hum dono deewaane
hum dono mastaane
jab chalenge
sab jalenge
dekh ke raahon mein

main pyaar mein khoya rehta hoon
aur din bhar soya rehta hoon
haan pyaar yahi kehlaataa hai
ho ho ho
aa haa haa
ae he he
aa haa haa
kyun dil mein aag lagaataa hain
kyun tum bhi pyaar jataata hai
haan mazaa isi mein aataa hai
hum dono deewaane
waah waah waah
hum dono mastaane
jab chalenge
sab jalenge
dekh ke raahon mein

Atul ji,
your comments about your(future film star) dogs are hilarious.”Chhotey
‘lip-synching’ the bark of Bholey” is really superb and A class !
The song is picturised on Azad Irani and Nadira-fully & normally clothed.

Thanks a lot about your appreciation. These pets certainly have feelings , and who knows they may have ambitions too. And I think they are unbelievably intelligent. In fact, I have created a blog to discuss my three pets, but this song blog takes so much of my time that I have not been able to post more than one post in that blog. otherwise I have lots of interesting tales to share about my three pets.
