Hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli giraaye jaa

“Rasiya” (1950) is a movie that never saw the light of the day as it was shelved midway. A few songs of this movie were already recorded by them and they had become popular as well.
I have discussed one such song in the past. Here is another song fro this unreleased movie.
This song is a nice ghazal (I hope I have identified it correctly as a ghazal). It is sung by Lata. D N Madhok is the lyricist. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.
PS-Readers feel that this song is a mujra song. Even I half suspected it as such.
It is no nice and comforting to know that the songs of this movie were nost lost to music lovers, and we are all thankful for such small mercies.
Song-Hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli giraaye jaa (Rasiya)(1950) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-D N Madhok,MD-Bulo C Rani
Lyrics
aaa
aa aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa
hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli giraaye jaa
hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli giraaye jaa
hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli
armaan tadap uthhe mere
yoon muskuraaye jaa
hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli giraaye jaa
phir hamse wo phirti huyi nazren milaaye jaa
phir hamse wo phirti huyi nazren milaaye jaa
phir thhes deke dil ko mera dil banaaye jaa
armaan tadap uthhe mere
yoon muskuraaye jaa
hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli giraaye jaa
aankhon mein
aankhon mein
aankhon mein jaam pyaar ke bhar bhar ke laaye jaa
aankhon mein jaam pyaar ke bhar bhar ke laaye jaa
main jitni pi sakoon
mujhe utni pilaaye jaa
armaan tadap uthhe mere
yoon muskuraaye jaa
hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli giraaye jaa
hans hans ke mere chain pe bijli giraaye jaa

In early 1950′s, when I was barely 9 years old, the word “Rasiya” means country Rusia to me ![]()
The semi classical ghazal with harmonium and tabla, it is a mujra song.

It seems it would have been picturised as a mujra.
