“Heer” (1956) was a Filmistan Production. It was directed by Hamid Dutt (?) and the starcast included names viz Pradeep Kumar, Nutan, Ulhas, Darpan, S. L. Puri, Randhir, Krishna Kumari, Zohra Sehgal, Chaman Puri, Mubarak, Murad, Rashid Khan, Lalita Pawar, Shakuntala etc.

As many as four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is another song from the movie. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist and music is composed by Anil Biswas.

Atul ji,
HEER-1956 was directed by HAMID BHATT,who was a story,s/play and Dialogue writer with Filmistan for some time.
He had written the story of Aandhiyan-52,S/Play of Nagin-54,S/Play and dialogues of Samrat-54.
Hamid also wrote the S/play and story of Heer-56.
This was a story of the famous Heer and Ranjha,which was the base for more than 20 films so far.
