“Halchal”(1951) had Dilip Kumar and Nargis in lead roles. This movie initially had Sajjad Hussain as the music director but he left the movie after recording three songs and then the music direction of this movie was entrusted on Md Shafi.

I have discussed the three songs from this movie that were composed by Sajjad Hussain. Here is a song which is composed by Md Shafi.

This song is a Rafi Lata duet and it is picturised on the lead pair of Dilip Kumar and Lata. I am not sure about the lyricist of this song, but my guess is that it was Khumar Barabankwi. I request our knowledgeable readers to hekp throw more light on this matter.

Atul ji,
The Lyricist of this and all other songs of HULCHAL-1951 was Khumar Barabankvi.Though the MD changed,the lyricist remained the same.
Another interesting thing is mentioned in HFGK,that this song was first recorded in the voices of Geeta and Rafi.Even the record No. N_36355 was provided,but then it was cancelled and the song was again recorded in the voices of Lata and Rafi.

It is picturised on Dilip and Nargis(not Lata..typo..error)
