“Reshmi Roomaal” (1961) was a Zar productions movie. It was directed by Harsukh Bhatt. The movie had Manoj Kumar, Shakila, Helen, Shivraj, Maruti, Shammi, Kamal Kapoor, Sulochana Chatterji, Jankidas, K. N. Singh etc in it.
As many as four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is another song from the movie.
This song is a duet which is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Mukesh. Only the audio of this song is available and so it is difficult to tell how and on whom this song is picturised. Ii request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this matter.
Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is he lyricist and music is composed by Babul.
From the lyrics, it is clear that the song is a light hearted interaction between the two characters and the song obviously takes a leaf out of the popular “Aawaara Hoon” in a few lines of the song.

Nice composition. Imagine Shammi singing in Mukesh’s voice Raj Kapoor’s words! The music is also similar with piano-accordian et all.
