atul's bollywood song a day- with full lyrics

Jaako raakhe saaniyaan maar sakey na koye

Posted on: September 3, 2012

“Suraj Aur Chanda”(1973) was produced by A V Subramaniam and directed by T Madhav Rao. The movie had Sanjeev Kumar, Bindu, Shyama, Jagdeep, Laxmi Chhaaya, Sujit Kumar, Jairaj, Mukri etc in it.

I am not much aware of this movie though it was released during my time. A few songs of this movie were popular during its time and I remember lisdtening to them but without being aware of the details of the song.

Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is another song from themovie.

This song is sung by Mukesh, Lata and chorus and it is picturised as a stage dance song. I am not familar with the actors on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify them.

Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa
aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa

Kans ne kitne jatan kiye re bhaiyya
Kans ne kitne jatan kiye
lekin tumne dekha
sau talwaaren mita saki na
bhaagya ki ik bhi rekha

sau talwaaren mita saki na
bhaagya ki ik bhi rekha

kishan ka aise janam hua
atyaachaar yoon khatm hua
bandighar ke dwaar khule aur pehredaar soye
jaako raakhe saaniyaan
maar sakey na koye

jaako raakhe saaniyaan
maar sakey na koye

chhoot gayi jinse apne re bhaiyya
chhoot gayi jinse apne
bachpan ki sundar galiyaan

bagiyaa ke badle
bann mein dekhin khilti woh kaliyaan
bagiyaa ke badle
bann mein dekhin khilti woh kaliyaan

khel hai jog-sanjogon ka
sachh kehna hai logon ka
reet atal ye jeevan ki
koi hanse yaa roye

jaako raakhe saaniyaan
maar sakey na koye

jaako raakhe saaniyaan
maar sakey na koye

haath samay ka is duniya mein re bhaiyya
haath samay ka is duniya mein
koi rok na paaya
dhokha dene waale ne
ik din khud dhokha khaaya

dhokha dene waale ne
ik din khud dhokha khaaya

aaj mile ya chaahe kal
milta hai karmon ka phal
phool wo kaise paayega
jisne hon kaanten boye
jaako raakhe saaniyaan
maar sakey na koye
jaako raakhe saaniyaan
maar sakey na koye

honi toh ho ke rahe
anhoni na hoi
jaako raakhe saaniyaan
maar sakey na koye

jaako raakhe saaniyaan
maar sakey na koye

The first guy appears with blue saree female is Ram mohan

and the guy who lip syncs for the song(with saffron turban is Chinoo, who lip syncs r.d.burman`s voice in carvaan alogwith Helen)and

the other female who wishes sanjeeva kumar at the end of the song is Lalita Kumari or Lalita sinha who is a favorite of Hrishikesh Mukherjee camp-she was there in chhupke chhupke as lady warden of Sharmila tagore, and as a crazy old lady fan of Amithabh bachchan in Abhimaan. And I have seen her in Thodisi bewaffai,Ram lakhan,Amar Prem. She usually plays evil mausi and loud mouthed neighboring lady`s roles.

And I will let you know the lady`with blue saree, I know her name par zubaan pe aa nahin rahaa hai

The lady with ram mohan who cries for her baby must be SHYAMA but she looks younger on screen. I am in a fix.Somebody help me :)

It cannot be Shyama. Why we were forgetting Sanjeev Kumar. The other dancer with Chinu is nondescript/obscure . Why break our head.
