“Ek Musaafir Ek Haseena” (1962) was a Filmalaya Production movie. It was directed by Raj Khosla. The movie had Joy Mukherjee, Sadhana, Rajendranath, Kamal Kapoor, Siddhu, Jagdish Raaj, Sulochana Chatterji, Chaman Puri, Shyam Chatterji, Neera Sameer, Gyani, Malika, Dhumal etc in it.
This movie had ten songs in it. As many as eight of these songs have already been discussed.
Here is the ninth song from this movie.
This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. The song is picturised as a club song/ party song. The gathering has lot of people (many of then villainous looking) present. Joy Mukherji is the only one out of them whom I can identify. I am neither able to identify the lady lip syncing the song nor the other lady (with Shilpa Shirodkar like face and appearance) who is seated on a table. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify them.
PS-Our knowledgeable readers (Prakashchandra and Nayan Yagnik) have helped solve the riddle of the unidentified ladies. The dancer is Neera Sameer, in her solitary screen appearance. Looking at her, I feel that she deserved more breaks in movies.
And the lady looking like Shila Shirodkar is Malika, Mumtaz’s sister !
