“Alif Laila” (1953) was a K Amarnath Production movie. It was produced and directed by K Amarnath. The movie had Pran, Nimmi, Murad, Asha Mathur, Vijay Kumar, Gope, Maya Devi, Helen (uncredited) etc in it.
This movie had eight songs in it. As many as seven of these songs have already been discussed. Here is the eighth and final song from the movie.
This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. The situation of the picturisation shows a lady going to a dungeon to sing and dance to amuse and seduce the chief of the guards, apparently in a bid to help secure the release of the prisoners who are seen standing behind the bars throughout the song.
As is often the case with me, I am unable to identify the lady as well as the gentleman she makes advances on. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify them.
