“Aasmaan” (1952) was a Dalsukh M Pancholi production movie. This movie had Nasir Khan, Shyama, Veera, Badri Prasad,Anwar, David Abraham, Asha Parekh, Lalita Pawar, etc in it.
Today this movie is mainly remembered for the fact that O P Nayyar made his debut as a music director with this movie.
The music of this movie were quite different from the kind of music that O P Nayyar became known for later in his career.
The music of “Aasmaan” (1952) was not as well known as many other movies of O P Nayyar movies, but qualitywise the music of this song must be very high up there among the very best compositions of O P Nayyar.
I have discussed as many as five songs from this movie. Here is the sixth song from this movie. It is sung by Geeta Dutt. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist.
I have no idea who played the female lead in this movie and as such I do not know who may have lip synced this soulful composition in the movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
PS-Now it turns out from the comments of our knowledgeable readers taht Shyama played the leading lady in this movie. So one can guess that this song was picturised on Shyama.

The lead pair was Nasir Khan and Shyama (not Shyam).
