“Mother India” (1957) was a movie that was released before I was born. So this movie is from an era before my time. I first watched this movie in late 1970s in its nth re run in a dilapidated movie hall. Moreover I was not much into old movies in those days and I went to watch this movie so that I may be able to say that I had seen this movie. 
Though I judhe a movie by its songs, but ironically enough I do not remember too many songs from this movie. I was under the impression that the movie had only 4 or 5 songs in it. So it comes as a big surprise for me to realise that this movie had as many as twelve songs in it ! It hardly appeared that way to me when I watched the movie in late 1970s.
As many as eight of these songs have been discussed in the pasy. Here is the ninth song from the movie. This song is sung by Lata, Rafi and chrus. It is picturised on Nargis, Raj Kumar and others who sing this joyous song as a celebration for their harvesting season. So Rajkumar gets to lip sync at least two songfs in this movie ! I did not realose that he lasted long enough in the movie to figure in quite a few songs. I thought that he dies quite early in the movie, but I was obviously wrong.

Did you cry seeing the movies. I cry copiously whenever I see the movie. That could be more than 15 times.

Yes, very often, i get involved in every movie and if particularly this type of movies.
For comedy movies i laugh so loud and openly, and there are tears of joy then … so cyring is always there, and it still continued and will be there ..

thanks for the beautiful post atul ji, i also got to see the movie in late seventies , i like it very much and as i always like folk base and traditional music i like all songs of this film even nagri nagri dware dware ….. thanks shah saheb.
