“Afsaana” (1966) was a Devi Movietones presentation. It was produced by Dilip Mukherji and directed by Brij Sadanah. The movie had Ashok Kumar,Padmini, Pradeep Kumar, Jagdeep, Helen,Anwar Hussain, Tuntun JeevanKala, Master Khaliq, Jillani, Amrit Rana, Amar,Ted Lyons and His Cubs etc in it.
Today (4 january 2013) is the 88th birth anniversary of Pradeep Kumar (4 january 1925- 27 october 2001). On this occasion, here is a song from “Afsaana” (1966). This song is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Pradeep Kumar and Padmini (South). Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.

Very very melodiouse CHAAND song,chitragupt and rafi are clearlly winner ,they are very successful in creating the NIGHT and suhagraat climate in the song.I used to listen this song with other chaand songs.very frequentlly.Really its rare gem…particulerlly WORD …chaand by rafiji.
