Ik deewaana aate jaate hamse chhed kare

Posted on: January 29, 2013

“Naya Daur” (1957) was a B R Productions movie. It was produced and directed by B R Chopra. The movie had Dilip Kumar, Vyjyanti Mala, Ajit, Chand Usmani, Jeevan, Nazir Hussain, Manmohan Krishna, Leela Chitnis, S. N. Banerjee, Pratima Devi, Daisy Irani, Nazir Kashmiri, Radha Krishnan, Johnny Walker etc in it.

This movie had nine songs in it. As many as eight of these songs have been discussed in the past.

Here is the ninth and final song from the movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by O P Nayyar.

Only the audio of this song is available. My guess is that this song was picturised on Vyjyanti Mala. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on the picturisation of this song.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

Song-Ik deewaana aate jaate hamse chhed kare(Naya Daur)(1957) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Sahir Ludhianvi, MD-O P Nayyar

Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)

Ik deewana aate-jaate hamse chhed kare
sakhi ri wo kya maange
sakhi ri wo kya maange
ho o o o
jab bhi mere paas se guzre
thandi saans bhare
sakhi ri wo kya maange
sakhi ri wo kya maange

din dekhe naa raat wo
pakde mera haath wo
din dekhe naa raat wo
pakde mera haath wo
kabhi sharmaaun main
kabhi ghabraaun main
samajh na paaun main
kabhi ghabraaun main
samajh na paaun main
sakhi ri wo kya maange
sakhi ri wo kya maange
ho o o o
ik deewaana aate-jaate
hamse chhed kare
sakhi ri wo kya maange
sakhi ri wo kya maange

teelon ke us paar se
mujhe pukare pyar se
teelon ke us paar se
mujhe pukaare pyaar se
raste mein ruk-ruk
mud-mud chhup-chhup
dekhe mujhe tuk-tuk haay
raste mein ruk-ruk
mud-mud chhup-chhup
dekhe mujhe tuk-tuk haay
sakhi ri wo kya maange
sakhi ri wo kya maange
ho o o o
ik diwana aate-jaate hamse chhed kare
sakhi ri wo kya maange
sakhi ri wo kya maange
