“Sangharsh” (1968) was a Rahul Theatre Productions. It was directed by H S Rawail. The movie had Dilip Kumar, Vyjyanti Mala, Sanjeev Kumar, Durga Khote, Anju Mahendru, Sunder, Balraj Sahni, Jayant, Sulochana, Ullhas, Sapru, Mumtaz Begum, Padma, Deven Verma, Lata Sinha, Ranu, Iftekhar etc in it.

Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past and we thought that all the songs of this movie have already been covered. While I was checking up songs of this song for some other purpose, I accidentally realised that one song from “Sangharsh” was not yet covered in the blog.

Here is this seventh and final song from the movie. This song is a mujra song. It is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Vyjyanti Mala. Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.

With this song, “Sangharsh” (1968) finally has all its songs covered in the blog, although we have been under this illusion already for quite some time. :)

Song-Agar ye husn mera (Sangharsh)(1968) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Shakeel Badayuni, MD-Naushad

Lyrics

agar ye husn mera
pyaar ke sholon mein dhal jaaye
agar ye husn mera
pyaar ke sholon mein dhal jaaye
to phir insaan hai kya cheez
paththar bhi pighal jaaye
to phir insaan hai kya cheez
paththar bhi pighal jaaye
to paththar bhi pighal jaaye

bhari mehfil mein har koi mujhe
apna samajhta hai
meri mehfil ka na poochho aalam
koi shola hai to koi shabnam
shauk e deedaar yahaan hai sab ko
dil ka aagaar yahaan hai sab ko
sab mere pyaar ke mastaane hain
sab mere husn ke deewaane hain

takaaza husn ka ye hai sabhi ko
ik nazar
dekhoon
yahaan dekhoon
wahaan dekhoon
idhar dekhoon
udhar dekhoon
kyunke bhari mehfil mein
har koi mujhe
apna samajhta hai
agar main ek taraf dekhoon
to deewaanon mein chal(?) jaaye
agar ye husn mera
pyaar ke sholon mein dhal jaaye
to phir insaan hai kya cheez
paththar bhi pighal jaaye
to paththar bhi pighal jaaye

achaanak apne chehhre se uthha doon main agar parda
surkhiyaan hain mere rukhsaaron per er er
jaise kuchh phool hon angaaron per er er
ek muamma hai jawaani meri
saaari duniya hai deewaani meri
log aate hain tamanna leke
kiski himmat hai jo mujhko dekhe

nazar waale khafa hokar
jo kehte hain
to kehne doon
munaasib hai ke apne husn ko
parde mein rehne doon
kyunke achaanak apne chehre se
uthha doon main agar parda
koi behosh ho jaaye
kisi ka dam nikal jaaye
agar ye husn mera
pyaar ke sholon mein dhal jaaye
to phir insaan hai kya cheez
paththar bhi pighal jaaye
to paththar bhi pighal jaaye

Congratulations Atul ji on covering all songs of this movie ‘Sangharsh-1968′ and its joining to the list of ‘movies-all songs covered’!!!

The word in this line is :

shauQ e deedaar yahaan hai sab ko
dil ka ” aazaar ” yahaan hai sab ko
sab mere pyaar ke mastaane hain

‘shauq’ and ‘ taqaaza ‘ should be spelled with ‘Q’ if one really wants to use the correct alphabet.

agar main ek taraf dekhoon
to deewaanon mein chal jaaye

In the above line ‘chal’ is correct. ‘Deewanon mein chal jaaye’ implies that ‘ a fight might break out among the fans…..”
