I am aware of a joke where a Pathan from Afghanistan saw the poster of “Chiraag Kahaan Roshni Kahaan” and went to the movie hall hoping to see a movie depicting the tale of two Khans namely Chiraag Khan and Roshni Khan .

“Batwaara” (1961) was a Deep and Sandeep Production movie. In other words, this movie was produced by Pradeep Kumar with his brother. Karunesh Thakur directed the movie and the starcast of the movie had names like Pradeep Kumar, Nirupa Roy, Rehman, Jabeen Jalil, Leela Chitnis, Jagdish Sethi, Wasti, Shashikala, Jawahar Kaul etc.

“Raam Aur Shyaam” (1967) was a Vijaya International production. It was directed by Chanakya. The movie had Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Mumtaz, Nirupa Roy, Kanhaiyalal, Nazir Hussain, Sajjan, Mukri, Amar, Leela Misra, Zebunissa, Farida, Pran etc in it.

I am aware of movies called “Aag” and “Aah” which were produced in late 1940s and early 1950s/ respectively. Another movie of a similar sounding title, viz “Aas” was also produced in the same era. This movie had Shekhar and Kamini Kaushal in it.

Hindi movies, especially those of 1960s and 1970s, often had a birthday song in it. Many of these birthday songs have gone on to become evergreen birthday songs which are played/sung in birthdays even today.

I have not watched this movie, but I know for sure that this movie “Aayi Milan Ki Bela” must have been a big hit, going by the quality and popularity of its songs.
