“Kaajal” (1948) was a Ratan Pictures production. It was directed by M Sadiq. The movie had Suraiya, Jayant, Gope, Sharda, Ram Kamlani, Cuckoo, Wasti, Amir Banu etc in it.

Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth song from the movie. It is sung by Suraiyya. This movie had two lyricists in it, viz.D N Madhok and Shakeel Badayuni but the lyricist of this song is not known. Music is composed by Ghulam Mohammad.

Only the audio of this song is available. It is clear that the song was picturised on Suraiyya herself.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

mera dhadkan laaga jee
din guzra aa
