Husn iqraar kare ishq inkaar kare

Posted on: September 6, 2009

C grade Bollywood movies on 1950s and 1960s failed to get registered in the minds of mainstream audience, but these movies certainly had some audience and they must have been making enough money to stay in business.

Many of these C grade actors later graduated into bigger movies. And when it came to the music of these movies, the music was almost always A grade, considering that there were far too many A grade music directors and lyricists who were looking for jobs those days.

“Tarzan comes to Delhi” (1965). What a title. Other Cgrade movie makers will struggle to find such a fantastic title for a C grade movie. This movie had Dara Singh playing Tarzan and Mumtaz playing Jane.

This being a Bollywood movie, Jane has to sing songs. So here is sari clad desi Jane singing a song. Incidentally, this is a shower song. Mumtaz gets under a shower, and sings this song. This song is sung by Lata. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist, and a highly talented Dattaram, who was seeking to make it big as an independent music director, was the music director.

Song- Husn ikraar kare ishq inkaar kare (Tarzan comes to Delhi) (1965) Singer-Lata, Lyrics- Anand Bakshi, MD-Dattaram

Lyrics

husn ikraar kare
ishq inkaar kare
aise naadan se ab
kaise koi pyaar kare
husn ikraar kare
ishq inkaar kare
aise naadan se ab
kaise koi pyaar kare
husn ikraar kare

jaane waise jdo jahaan ko
mere dil ki daastaan ko
wo na samjhe
wo na jaane
jaane waise jo jahaan ko
mere dil ki daastaan ko
wo na samjhe
wo na jaane
haay
na to sau baar kare
haa na ek baar kare
aise naadan se ab
kaise koi pyaar kare
husn ikraar kare

jaagoon main to raat saari
chhede dil ki bekaraari
taare jaanen tare jaanen
jaagoon main to raat saari
chhede dil ki bekaraari
taare jaanen tare jaanen
haay
kaun izhaar kare
kaun takraar kare
aise naadaan se ab
kaise koi pyaar kare
husn ikraar kare

hothon se bhi naam leke
aankhon se bhi kaam leke
maine dekha to kya dekhaa
hothon se bhi naam leke
aankhon se bhi kaam leke
maine dekha to kya dekhaa
haay
baaten bekaar kare
aankhen nasaar kare
aise naadaan se kaise koi pyaar kare
husn ikraar kare
ishq inkaar kare
aise naadaan se kaise koi pyaar kare
husn ikraar kare
