Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Main teri koi nahin re

Posted on: August 23, 2011

“Amar Rahe Ye Pyaar” (1961) is a movie about which very little information is available online. The only information I have been able to collect about the starcast of this movie is that it had Nalini Jaiwant, Rajendra Kumar and Nanda in it. Apparently, this movie flopped at the box office despite the presence of Jubilee Kumar in it.

I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on this obscure movie.

The songs of this movie are just as obscure. Here is a rare song from this movie. Only the audio of this song is available so it is not possible to guess how and on whom this song is picturised.

From the lyrics of the song, it appears that an abandoned child is brought up by a woman as her own, but when the biological mother of the child turns up to claim the child, the foster mother parts with the child with a heavy heart, and then this song taks place.

As can be guessed, this is a very poignant and heart rending situation for the foster mother. Pradeep was just the right lyricist for a situation like this, and here he comes up with very moving lyrics, expressing the feelings of the foster mother. Not just that, Pradeep also sings the first few lines of the song, after which Suman Kalyanpur takes over and sings this poignant song.

C Ramchandra is the music director of this rare and forgotten gem. I became aware of this song just a while ago, and I am sure music lovers will savour this song just as much as I did.

Song-Main teri koi nahin re (Amar Rahe Ye Pyaar) (1961) Singers-Pradeep, Suman Kalyanpur, Lyrics-Pradeep, MD-C Ramchandra

bichhad rahi hain do maataayen
apne nayan bhhigoke
ek ne apna heera paayaa
ek khadi hai khhoke

mujhse bichhad ke dil na dukhhaanaa
mujhse bichhad ke dil na dukhhaanaa
beta mujhko bhool jaanaa
main teri koi nahin re
teri koi nahin

jab tu apne desh ko jaana
mujhko mat aawaaz lagaanaa
main teri koi nahin re
teri koi nahin
aaa aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa

jiska khoyaa huaa hai dhan tu
aaj usi ka ho
jiska khoyaa huaa hai dhan tu
aaj usi ka ho
main to kaanton mein reh loongi
tu phhoolon par so

apni maan par pyaar lutaanaa
mera naam na lab par laanaa
main teri koi nahin re
teri koi nahin
aaa aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa

aaa aaa aaa
tera sukh mere sukh se badaa hai
jaa apne ghar jaa
tera sukh mere sukh se badaa hai
jaa apne ghar jaa
teri bhalaayi ke aage mere
pyaar ki qeemat kyaa

mera tujhse pyaar badhaana
thha ik khush rehne ka bahaanaa
main teri koi nahin re
teri koi nahin
aaa aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa

jahaan kahin bhi rahe tu munna
hardam khush rehna
jahaan kahin bhi rahe tu munna
hardam khush rehna
sab kuchh kehna lekin mujhko
patthhar mat kehna

jis din poochhe tujhse zamaanaa
tu bas itni baat bataanaa
main teri koi nahin re
teri koi nahin

mujhse bichhad ke dil na dukhaanaa
beta mujhko bhool jaanaa
main teri koi nahin re
teri koi nahin

Atul ji,
AMAR RAHE YE PYAR(1961),was produced by Radhakrisna and Prabhudayal, under the banner of R.P.Films.
Radhakrishna was an actor, who is remembered due to his croaky voice(Remember,in New Delhi,he acted as Sadhuram-ghee merchant and Vyjayantimala’s Mama),and he also was a good Story,Screenplay and Dialogue writer and has done several films in this capacity like Saajan-47,Hip hip Hurray-48,New Delhi-56,Sau ka note-55,Mera Badla-85 etc.
Prabhudayal was also a smalltime actor who did more than 50 odd films.
Amar rahe ye pyar was directed by Prabhudayal.
The cast included Rajendra Kumar,Nalini Jayawant,Radhakrishna,Amirbai karnataki,Jeevankala,Nanda,Ramayan Tiwari etc.
The story was the most unimpressive,so were the dialogues, and direction.Additionally,Nalini Jayawant who was in her declining stage and a weak actor like Rajendra Kumar sealed the fate of this movie.
The story tried to emhasize that Love and being on the right path are the only ways of gaining happiness in this world. It tells the story of a couple who adopt a child found in a park and love him dearly.Fate has it that they lose the child, their house, entire money and what not.But it is the Love that helps them win back everything.very very unconvincing indeed !
As far as Rajendra Kumar is concerned,he became the Jubilee Kumar after films in 1963 like Dil ek Mandir,Mere Mehboob, and then Ayee milan ki Bela,Sangam, Arzoo,Suraj,Ganwar etc.
This was a movie before that spell.Looks from the records that it was a 1961 movie.

I think, Rajendra Kumar’s two movies – DHOOL KA PHOOL (1959) and GOONJ UTHI SHEHNAI (1959) had silver jubilee run. He, however, got the Jubilee Kumar tag after most of his films released during 60’s completed silver jubilees.

Yes, I too thought that it was a 1961 movie, but every site in internet (copying from each other, it seems) mention this as a movie of 1963.

Atul ji,
It is a movie of 1961 only.Even the Hindi Film Geet Kosh of Hamraj also lists this movie as a 1961 movie.
As you rightly observed, this is how wrong information is copied by most Internet sites.
