on:Launching one’s son/daughter in movies in nothing new. This practice is nearly as old as the time whern movies began to be produced in India. The very first star kid who was launched in Hindi movie could well be Nargis in 1940s. She was then followed by Nutan.
Nutan was launched by her mother Shobhana Samarth in “Hamaari Beti” (1950). Shobhana Samarth was the producer and director of this movie. The movie had Motilal, Shekhar, Nutan, Veera, Shobhana Samarth, Cuckoo, Shekhar, Nutan, Tanuja, Randhir, Agha, Pramila, David Abraham, K. N. Singh etc in it.
One song from this movie has been discussed in the past. On the occasion of Mukesh’s death anniversary today (27 august), here is another song from “Hamaari Beti” (1950). This song is sung by Mukesh. Pt Phani is the lyricist. Music is composed by Snehal Bhatkar.
Only the audio of this rare song is available and so it is difficult to guess how and on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on the picturisation of this song.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

mohabbat bhi jhoothi
zamaana bhi jhootha
mohabbat ka hai yeh
fasaana bhi jhootha
yeh fasaana bhi jhootha
adaayen bhi jhoothi
wafaayen bhi jhoothi
adaayen bhi jhoothi
adaayen bhi jhoothi
wafaayen bhi jhoothi
yeh sab rooth jaana
manaana bhi jhootha
mohabbat bhi jhoothi
zamaana bhi jhootha
mohabbat ka hai yeh
fasaana bhi jhootha
yeh fasaana bhi jhootha
kahaan ka yeh dil
aur kaisi mohabbat
arre dil ka aanaa bhi
jaana bhi jhootha
mohabbat bhi jhoothi
zamaana bhi jhootha
mohabbat ka hai yeh
fasaana bhi jhootha
yeh fasaana bhi jhootha
juda hona milna hai
uska baraabar
juda hona milna hai
uska baraabar
yeh rona bhi jhootha
hansaana bhi jhootha
mohabbat bhi jhoothi
zamaana bhi jhootha
mohabbat ka hai yeh
fasaana bhi jhootha
yeh fasaana bhi jhootha
