Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Na tadapne ki ijaazat hai

Posted on: July 11, 2013

“Pyaar ki Jeet” (1948) was a Famous Pictures production. It was directed by O P Datta. The movie had Rehman, Suraiya, Gope, Gyani, Raj Mehra, Manorama, Leela Misra, Yashodhara Katju, Niranjan Sharma etc in it.

Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past including the all time classic song Tere nainon ne chori kiyaa mera chhota sa jiya pardesiya which was played on “Puraani filmon ke geet” programme of Radio Ceylon quite often.

Here is the fifth song from “Pyaar Ki Jeet” (1948). This song is sung by Suraiyya. Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Husnlal Bhagatram.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

Song-Na tadapne ki ijaazat hai (Pyaar Ki Jeet)(1948) Singer-Suraiyya, Lyrics-Qamar Jalalabadi, MD-Husnlal Bhagatram

Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)

na tadapne ki ijaazat hai
na fariyaad ki hai
ghut ke mar jaaun
ye marzi mere saiyyaad ki hai

koi duniya mein hamaari tarah barbaad na ho
koi duniya mein hamaari tarah barbaad na ho
dil to rota ho
magar honthon pe fariyaad na ho
dil to rota ho
magar honthon pe fariyaad na ho

de ke ek pyaar bhara dil
meri qismat ne kaha aa aa
jaa tere pyaar ki duniya
kabhi aabaad na ho
jaa tere pyaar ki duniya
kabhi aabaad na ho
dil to rota ho
magar honthon pe fariyaad na ho
dil to rota ho magar honthon pe fariyaad na ho

pehle chheena thhaa tujhe ae ae ae
abb le li nishaani teri ee ee ee
duniya kehti hai ke dil mein bhi teri yaad na ho
duniya kehti hai ke dil mein bhi teri yaad na ho
dil to rota ho
magar honthon pe fariyaad na ho
dil to rota ho
magar honthon pe fariyaad na ho
koi duniya mein hamaari tarah barbaad na ho
koi duniya mein hamaari tarah barbad na ho
dil to rota ho magar honthon pe fariyaad na ho

Iski zindagi barbaad hi ho gayi naa? Kitna chha hota agar Suraiya-ji Dev Saab se shaadi karti!! So many screen pairings never ended in marriage in real life.
