“Raag Rang” (1952) was produced under the banner of Bali sisters production and it was produced by Geeta Bali and Sudha Bali. The movie was directed by Digvijay. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Geeta Bali, Ruma Guha Thakurta, Sudha Bali, Madan Puri, Agha, Raja Paranjpe, Sundar, Janki Das, S Nazir etc in it.

This song is sung by Lata. Kaif Irfani is the lyricist. Music is composed by Roshan.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song. Seeing that Lata sang eight songs in it, my guess is that she sang these songs (including this one) for Geeta Bali.

Atul ji,
I get to hear ‘toote hain dil ke’ laakh ummeedon ke bekraar.
All the songs of ‘Raag Rang’ (1953) are melodious and this song is one of my favourites of this film.
