“Umang”(1969) was produced and directed by Atmaram for Gurudutt Pictures. This movie had an amateur cast consisting largely of of FTII, Pune students. The movie had Satish Kumar, Archana, Rehman, Paintal, Subhash Ghai, Asrani etc in it.
The saving grace for this movie was its music which was composed by Shankar Jaikishan. Four songs from this movie were discussed in the blog as far back as in 2009. No further songs from this movie have been discussed in the next six years ! To make amends, here is the fifth song from “Umang”(1970). This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle (with some chorus as well). Anjaan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
The song is picturised as a stage performance song on Archana and Satish Kumar, the lead pair of this movie.
