Today (25 june 2016) is the birth anniversary of Madan Mohan (25 june 1924- 14 july 1975). We are discussing a few songs composed by Madan Mohan on this occasion.
Here is a song from “Ilzaam”(1954). This movie was produced and directed by R C Talwar. The movie had Meena Kumari, Kishore Kumar, Shammi, Randheer, Meera Devi, Amar, Jagdish Kamal, Om Prakash, Jagdish Sethi etc in it.
The song is a philosophical bhajan. It is sung by Manna Dey. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madan Mohan.
Picturisation shows an elderly person (that I am unable to identify) lip syncing this song while Meena Kumari is also visible in the picturisation. as things go in Hindi movies, this song is meant for Meena Kumari of course, who apparently is required to put up a brave face for some hardship that has befallen her. I am of course guessing all this based on my past experience of watching Hindi movies. 🙂 I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us the context in which this song is taking place in the movie.

Yes , it is Jagdish Sethi.
This was the only song in his entire career which he got to lip synch in a film.
