ASAD 10th Anniversary Celebrations – 5
———————————————————————

Our blog will be completing a decade online on 19th July, 2018, and I think this is a great great achievement of Atul ji – our leader – who over all these years has keep it going with his tireless efforts and dedication towards the blog in spite of having his own personal priorities including his full-time job.

I got an opportunity to get in contact with this blog since (my first comment on 15.09.2009 – Kashti Ka Khaamosh Safar Hai …) and after that it took me few years to become a part of the ASAD team on 05.09.2012 when my first contribution – Pyaar Ka Badlaa Mujhe –  was posted on the blog. So, after a couple of months it will mark my six years on this blog as a contributor and team member of this family.

As I have said in one of my earlier articles here that when I joined this blog, my main objective was the songs which were in my memory since childhood and these were the songs which are very nostalgic for me and those which brings back wonderful memories for me – Tere Mere Yaaraane ho o. Revisiting those songs is like reviving again the old days – the days I was growing – the childhood and the ‘magic of cinema’.

Over these years since 2012, after the initial phase of sharing ‘lot of songs’ from the seventies, I have also shared some of my anecdotes and written about movies which I may not have watched but their songs are part of my memories. After coming into the contact with this blog I also got to learn and became aware of many songs of yesteryears, got to know about the great personalities associated with these songs, and about the vast treasure trove that HFM is.

In few of my earlier posts I have already written about ‘what this blog is for me (Hum Se Roothhe Hi Bhale Saara Zamaana) and how over all these years it has become an essential part of my life.  Hence, I will not repeat all those feelings here, and will come to the song in today’s post.

For this 10th anniversary celebrations of the blog, my theme is ‘nostalgia’. What I want to express in today’s post is that other than the ‘nostalgia’ of songs and movies that I share on this blog, now this blog itself has become a ‘nostalgic’ part of my daily routine. As I browse it daily it brings back memories of initial years a ‘contributor’ and the communications that I have been doing all these years with the team of contributors. And the most beautiful thing of all to happen was meeting some of our team members in person – the gang outs 🙂 – Is Mulaqaat Bas Mazaa Lijiye.

This is the most beautiful part of ‘my’ life and I think I can write it – ‘our life’. Because we, ‘strangers’ to each other, have now become as one ‘soul’ and ‘one life’ because of this blog only. The joy of meeting each other in the ‘gang outs’ cannot be described in words here. It is an everlasting feeling and after every meeting we long to meet next time with many new things to share.

Personally, I feel myself very fortunate to be a part of this blog and to have met some wonderful peoples- our seniors and fellow team members – in my lifetime and it’s like ‘jeevan dhanya ho gaya’, so what more one wants because ‘main to kuchh bhi nahin tha, is blog ne mujhe bahot kuchh bana diya’ 🙂 . In the near future I hope to meet other members whom I have not yet met in person 🙂 . This ‘Suhaana Safar’ will be continuing on and on. . .

In India, this month of July brings the monsoon and nowadays it’s raining in almost all the parts of the country. The monsoon generally takes over and covers the whole country in this month. For me, it is a regular here since months and even in this winter season here in Kenya now, we have regular rains. That is why when I think about the birthday of this blog, it was in July in 2008. Every year on the anniversary of this blog, Atul ji must be remembering those days when he was thinking of launching this blog or putting his thoughts together which later on became a ‘full online regular blog’ 😊

aise hi kuchh din rahe honge wo bhi
jab kaale kaale baadal mandlaa rahe honge
aur idhar geeton ki varsha barasne ki tayyari ho rahi thi. . .

With these thoughts in mind let us enjoy this lovely song and fall in love with HFM yet once again – the songs that brings back memories and the ‘nostalgia’ everybody has been associated with in one’s life. Because hereafter when these celebrations are over the memories of this wonderful week will become a part of our ‘nostalgia’ forever and will be remembered every year. And if the virtual gang out happens, it will also leave behind memories to cherish forever.

Let us now enjoy this wonderful composition from Rajesh Roshan penned by Qateel Shifai, and which has the sweet and melodious voices of Sadhna Sargaam and Suresh Wadkar. The film is ‘Anjaane’. As per information available online, this film was launched in 1993, and its music was released in 1995. However, production delays and other issues caused the film to be released only in 2000. I have not seen this film and I would request knowledgeable readers to throw light on this movie and its songs.

Once again thanking Atul ji and all other members of this blog and wishing all the best in the future, let us enjoy this song.

kaale kaale baadal jab bhi chhayenge..ae
kaale kaale baadal jab bhi chhayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge

hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
aa aa aa aa aa

kaaley kaaley baadal jab bhi chhayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge

mann ki beena chhedi re
o gori kya boli
arey mann ki beena chhedi re
gun gun karte bhanware
jab bhi gaayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge
kaaley kaaley baadal jab bhi chhayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge

aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa aa aa

meethhe jharnon ka paani
chhede nayi si kahaani
meethhe jharnon ka paani
chhede nayi si kahaani
waadiyon pe lagaa
panchhiyon ka mela
mujhse poochhe ghadi ghadi
ye suhaani bela
tere saath hai ye kaun albelaa
albelaa
o gori
kya boli
mann ki duniya doli re
o gori
kya boli
arey mann ki duniya doli re
mausam ye bahaarein jab bhi laayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge
kaale kaale baadal jab bhi chhayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge

kaajal bhed tera kholey
bindiya chupke se ye boley
kaajal bhed tera kholey
bindiya chupke se ye boley
hai haseena tu thodi si deewaani
dil hi dil mein ye sochey fiza mastaani
hogi kiske tu khwaabon ki raani
tu raani
miltey hai
jo saathi

yaad nahin unki jaati
miltey hai
jo saathi

arey yaad nahin unki jaati
ham chaahe jahaan bhi chaley jaayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge ae

hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
aa aa aa aa aa

kaale kaale baadal jab bhi chhayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge ae
o gori
kya boli
mann ki beena chhedi re
o gori
kya boli
arey man ki beena chhedi re
gun gun karte bhanware
jab bhi gaayenge
ye din pyaare pyaare yaad aayenge

hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
laa laa laa laa aa
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm

आ आ आ आ
आ आ आ आ

Avinash ji,
Thanks for your post.
The film you selected today is appropriate too, as in the beginning, we all were Anjaane to each others and now we are jaane pehchane.
I guess, you must be one member who has met the maximum number of the members of Atulite group. You had a mini get together in Chennai in addition to Bengaluru and Mumbai. I dont know if you visited Delhi.
These special posts are nostalgic,as you say. Each one of us must be thinking about our first contact with this Blog and how we travelled along together.
Thanks again.

Quite a nostalgic trip Avinash Ji. Although I haven’t heard this song, it sounds very cute. Nice to have known you. Cheers. Satyajit Rajurkar

Very apt post Avinash ji. Arun ji has correctly observed that you must have met maximum people (if its not Arunji himself!).
Rajesh Roshan is verygood but unfortunately in semi retirement for long. I guess the times have changed but at least on TV shows he should judge!

Thanks for this nostalgic post, Avinashji.
And for expressing so beautifully the feeling of togetherness we have, thanks to this blog – can’t thank Atul enough for this.

This song takes me back to the 1990s, when I had this cassette in my car. In those days I used to play a lot of 1990s songs while driving – I remember movies like Rang, Anjaane, Anari, Yaaraana, Daraar and some more. Pretty good songs – definitely worth a listen. Haven’t heard this song since the 90s, so it was wonderful to listen to it again now. Thanks. 🙂

Avinash Ji,
Thanks for the post. I was mulling on appropriate lines to comment with.and I found very apt lines in Arun Ji ‘s feed back. Yes,
“….we all were Anjaane to each others and now we are jaane pehchane.”, thanks to the blog.
I have not known about the movie or remember to have heard the song. I concede it is a pleasing song.

Nice nostalgic post Avinash ji. Nostalgia is what we live for and what keeps us going :). Was reminded of your trip to Chennai and how we tried to meet multiple times for the couple of days you were here. You have been a regular contributor to the blog and we should thank you for all that you have done with the passion you have for both old songs and for people. Looking forward to other posts :).
