“Jiyo Raja”(1949) was directed by Nari Ghadiali for Wankalwala Productions, Bombay. This “stunt” movie had Agha, Prakash, Shanta Patel, S Azim, Mumtaz Ali, Munchie, Mustafa, Sheikh, Faqeer Mohammad, Ghulam Rasool, Amir Hussain, Muhammad Sandow, Ismail, Azam, Kadar etc in it.
This obscure movie had ten obscure songs in it.
Here is the first song from “Jiyo Raja”(1949) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Uma Devi. Rajjan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Nisaar Bazmi.
Only the audio of this song is available. Listening to the song, it becomes clear that the tune of this song is same as that of Uma Devi’s immortal song Afsaana likh rahi hoon dile beqaraar ka” from “Dard”(1949).
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on this movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
With this song, “Jiyo Raja”(1949) makes its debut in the blog.
Song-Kaanon ne jo suna wahi dil ko sunaayenge(Jiyo Raja)(1949) Singer-Uma Devi, Lyrics-Rajjan, MD-Nisaar Bazmi
Lyrics
kaanon ne jo suna
kaanon ne jo suna
wahi dil ko sunaayenge
jo gair thha kabhi
usey apna banaayenge
kaanon ne jo suna
wahi dil ko sunaayenge
jo gair thha kabhi
usey apna banaayenge
kaanon ne jo suna
dil mein chhupa hai
aur nazar se hai door door
dil mein chhupa hai
aur nazar se hai door door
aur nazar se hai door door
usko har ek saans mein
usko har ek saans mein
apni basaayenge
jo gair thha kabhi
usey apna banaayenge
kaanon ne jo suna
wahi dil ko sunaayenge
jo gair thha kabhi
usey apna banaayenge
kaanon ne jo suna
raaton ko uski yaad se
baaten karenge ham
raaton ko uski yaad se
baaten karenge ham
haaye baaten karenge ham
aayega jab wo saamne
aayega jab wo saamne
tab roothh jaayenge
jo gair thha kabhi
usey apna banaayenge
kaanon ne jo suna
wahi dil ko sunaayenge
jo gair thha kabhi
usey apna banaayenge
kaanon ne jo suna

@ Atul ji – Congratulations on the first song of ‘Jiyo Raja-1949’ and its ‘debut’ on the blog 🙂
(Yes, the ‘debut’ is definitely as important as marking of the ‘Yippeeee’ of a movie on the blog 🙂 hence a new beginning from my end 🙂 )
