This is the story of a ‘self-proprietorship firm’ uniquely named ‘Atul Song A Day’ (hereinafter called the Company) which was set up on July 19, 2008 by Atul Besra. In his venture, he received encouragement from Raja, his Cricforum friend. The mission was to produce at least one song a day. However, due to abundant supply of ‘raw material’ and the demand for the ‘finished product’, the production was increased to more than one song a day within 3 months of its existence.

The last time I discussed my dogs was in february 2013, which was more than two years ago. My dogs were two years old at that time. Now they are four years old. So they have become twice as old as they were at that time.

“Akayla” (1991) was a Mushir Riaz Production. It was produced by Mushir and Riaz and directed by Ramesh Sippy. The movie had Amithabh Bachchan, Helen, Jackie Shroff, Amrita Singh, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Aditya Panscholi, Kiran Joneja, Keith Stevenson(Introducing), Shashi Kapoor(In Special Appearance), Mahesh Anand, Kanwaljit Singh, Mangal Dhillon, Asif, Nafisa, S.M.Zaheer, Vikram Gokhale, Suresh Devadiga, Anil Yadav, Lalit Tiwari, Arun Manthur, Gopi Desai, Shahryar Khan, Pradeep Chowdhari, Anjana.R., Baby Juhi, Haji, Ghanshyam, Abbas Habib etc in it.

on:In this blog, I often talk of quality, class, originality etc while discussing songs. But there are occasions when all these admirable qualities take the back seat and we like to listen to songs that hardly seem to possess such high ideals. These are songs that are purely time pass low brow songs, shamelessly plagiarised, with lyrics that are no great shakes and may be even in poor taste, and with picturisation to match. And surprisingly, there are such songs who manage to become chart busters.
