Here is the fifth and final song from “Murder in Circus”(1971) to appear in the blog. According to HFGK, the song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Usha Khanna, though I can only detect Asha Bhonsle’s song. Perhaps Usha Khanna sings in chorus. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Usha Khanna.

The song is picturised as a Villain’s den song on two main dancers and other dancers. I am unable to identify the two main dancers. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identigy them.

With this song, “Murder in Circus”(1971) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Lyrics

lalalalalala
lalalalalala
lalalalalal
lalalalalalal

unaa unaa unaaoo unauauaua
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa

lalala
banke bahuroopiya
usne mere dil liya
liya liya liya
banke bahuroopiya usne mere dil liya
chupke nazron se
dil ki raahon mein
wo chehra chipaye sanam aaye jaye
karoon main kya haaye
banke bahroopiya
usne mere dil liya

aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa

khili khili kali hoon main
gulshan ki matwaali
matwaali aji matwaali
matwaali aji matwaali

gali gali dhoondh aayi ban ke teri dilwaali
dilwaali aji dilwaali
dilwaali aji dilwaali

parde giraaye na parde uthaye
wo parde giraaye
na parde uthaaye
karoon main kya haaye
bolo ji bhala kaun hai wo
bolo ji bhala kaun hai wo

bolo ji bhala kaun hai wo
bolo ji bhala kaun hai wo

banke bahroopiya
usne mere dil liya
liya liya liya

aag lagi nas nas mein
dhadkan hai mastaani
mastaani aji mastaani
mastaani aji mastaani

ghadi ghadi baahon mein tadpan hai deewaani
deewaani aji deewaani
deewaani aji deewaani

mujhko sataaye
wo ratiya jagaye
mujhko sataaye wo ratiyaa jagaye
karoon main kya haye
banke bahrupiya
usne mere dil liya
chhupke nazron se
dil ki raahon mein
wo chehra chhipaaye sanam aaye jaaye
karoon main kya haay
bolo ji bhala kaun hai wo
bolo ji bhala kaun hai wo
bolo ji bhala kaun hai wo
bolo ji bhala kaun hai wo

“Kab Kyun Aur Kahaan” (1970) was produced and directed by Arjun Hingorani. It was he who hit upon the idea of using three word titles, with each word beginning with K. That worked for him as well, seeing that the titles of his movies continued to be like that till 1990s, with titles like “Kahaani Kismat ki” (1973), “Khel Khilaadi Ka” (1977), Kaatilon Ke Kaatil(1981), Kaun Kare Kurbaani (1991) etc. Now you know where Ms Kapoor got her inspiration for all her TV serials with titles beginning with K.
