“Roopkumari”(1956) was produced by Chimanlal Trivedi and directed by Manibhai Vyas for Chitrabharti, Bombay. The movie had Shakila, Mahipal, Chandrashekhar, Tiwari, Maruti, Kamal, Ratnamala, Krishnakumari, Moni Chatterjee, Roopmala, Jankidas, Ramesh Thakur, Jagdish, Dubey etc in it.
This movie had seven songs in it. Three songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the fourth song from “Roopkumari”(1956) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. B D Mishra is the lyricist. Music is composed by S N Tripathi.

“Jai Shree”(1956) was directed by Balchandra Shukla and Harsukh Bhatt for Rajshree Productions, Bombay. HFGK mentions that Rajshree Productions had apparently bought the distribution rights of this movie and had released it under the banner of Ratndeep Pictures.
The movie had Nimmi, Pradeep Kumar, Lalita Pawar, Jeewan, Jayant, Radhakishan, Roopmala, Chaman Puri, Kesri, Gadadhar Sharma, Jagdeesh Kanwal, Baby Daisy Irani, Master Vijay Kumar etc in it.
This “social” movie had eight songs in it. Two song has been covered in the past.
Here is the third song from “Jai Shree”(1956) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam, Lata and chorus. Gopal Singh Nepali is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.

Today 12th Dec’2020 is the ninety-third birth anniversary of Datta Naik also known as N. Datta. He was born on 12th December’1927 in Goa, and he passed away on 30th December’’1987 at Mumbai (then Bombay).
On this occasion here is a song from the movie ‘Naach Ghar-1959’.
‘Naach Ghar-1959’ was directed by R.S. Tara for ‘Quality Pictures, Bombay’. R.S. Tara was also the producer of this movie. It had Ashok Kumar, Shobha Khote, Gopikrishna, Helen, Kamala Laxman, Anup Kumar, Dhumal, Iftekhar, Maya Das, Mirza Musharraf, Jamal, Sujata, Bismillah, Vivek and others.
This movie was passed by the Censor Board on 23.01.1959.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2009-19) – Song No. 50

Welcome all to this post under this series where I am presenting yet another song from the Seventies. The last post presented in this series was also presented by me that too was a song from the year 1973.
The song under discussion is also from a movie of 1973.
Ever since Atul ji started this series it has become my routine to regularly check for movies which are eligible to be discussed in the series in the forthcoming month. I try to find movies that triggers long dormant memories of those days, associated either with the movies or their songs.
I may not necessarily have watched all those movies. In some cases it is only the songs from these movies, frequently being played on the radio or loudspeakers may have left lasting memories in my mind.
The movie for today’s song is a case inn point. I have not watched this movie till now, but I remember its song ‘tere naam ka deewaana, tere dar ko dhoondhtaa hai’ which was arguably the most popular of all the songs of this movie, as it was frequently played on the radio then. I did not like this song those days. Nevertheless this was the song and not any other songs that I associate with its movie.
After many years I listened to ‘honi to hoke rahegi anhoni naa hoye’ and liked it very much.
One more song from this movie which was popular and was played on radio and loudspeakers is the song being presented today. It was only after I browsed the list for the pending songs from this movie that I get to know that this song was from this movie ‘Suraj Aur Chandaa’.
I was surprised when I find that this song has not been posted on the blog till now.
As mentioned above I had not watched this movie or its songs till now. It was during the preparation of this post that I watched the video of this song for the first time.
Despite their popularity, none of these songs made it to the annual list of ‘Binaca Geetmala’ of that year.

‘Sooraj Aur Chandaa-1973’ or ‘Suraj Aur Chandaa’ was directed by T. Madhava Rao for ‘Suraj Films, Madras’. (It was a costume drama movie as mentioned in HFGK Vol V). It was produced by A.V. Subramaniam. It had Sanjeev Kumar, Meeta (new discovery), Sujeet Kumar, Jagdeep, Lakshmi Chhaya, Shyama, Jairaj, Sajjan, Krishna Kant, Mukri, Ram Mohan, Herucles, Lalita Kumari, Sujata, Mona, Kamal, Bhimraj, Arun Kumar, Prem Kumar, Ravindra and others. Banda makes a special appearance in this movie.
Story of this movie was written by B. Vittalacharya, and dialogues were written by Raj Baldev Raj. Editing of this movie was done by G.G. Krishna Rao.
The movie was passed by Censor Board on 22.05.1973.
This movie had total six songs penned by Anand Bakshi and composed to music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd Rafi, Mukesh and Suman Kalyanpur had given their voices to the songs in this movie.
Three out of the six songs have been posted on the blog earlier.
Today’s song is the fourth songsfrom this movie to appear on the blog. The song is picturized on Bindu and Sanjeev Kumar where Bindu is lip syncing in Lata Mangeshkar’s voice. Also, there are snakes around in the picturisation of this song.
I would request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on the movie and its songs.
Editor’s note:-This song was quite a well known and hummable song of 1970s. It was a song which one heard without necessaily being aware of its details.
From the lyrics, one would guess that a lady is singing about her beloved who has come from far off.
When one watches the picturisation, all such assumptions get thrown out of the window. What one watches in the picturisation is something mind blowing, inadvertently so.
The song is a “naagin” song, in which a “naagin” is singing this love song to her beloved. “Naagin” is played by Bindu and Sanjeev Kumar is her beloved.
“Naagin”(1954) provided the template of all “Naagin” movies, but this movie “Suraj Aur Chanda” (1973) takes that template to a different plane altogether.
In all other “Naagin” movies, a snake charmer (Sapera) plays the been and the female snake (invariably ichhaadhaari naagin) would turn into a human female and would then perform a dance.In this song, it is different. Here it is the snakes who play the “been” (yes seriously, just watch the picturisation). The snakes do not just play the been, they play the whole orchestra including instruments like Dholak, Tabla, Sitar etc as well. 🙂 And the lead snake Bindu performs the dance.
Snakes playing the music ! It is something unprecedented in the annals of Hindi movies ! I am not aware of any such instance in any other movie.
What an idea ! In my younger days, I would laugh at such a picturisation, but now, I can only be amused at the weirdly imaginative brain of the person behind the picturisation of this song.
This song deserves special recognition, especially for its picturisation.
We in this blog hereby make this song the century song of the blog.
THIS song is the 15300th song post in the blog. This song, marking the 153th century post of the blog is a “special” song in its own way. Picturisation of this song can keep people amused for hours ! 🙂
It appears that Laxmikant Pyarelal had specialised in being music directors of “Naagin” movies of that era. They would compose music for such well known “Naagin” movies like “Nageena”(1986)and “Nigaahen”(1989)” as well. These movies had Sridevi as the ichchaadhaari naagin. Remember ‘balma tum balma ho mere khaali naam ke’ 🙂 ?
So, with this amusingly picturised song, the blog completes another century. An agonisingly slow century that took 72 days. Very much in line with the slowing economy. 🙂
But on a different note, as many as 35 movies made their debut and three movies got YIPPEED during this period.

Songs Repeated in Hindi Films – 1

Reading the title of the post, you must be wondering – “ये क्या हो रहा है?” (“What is this going on?”). This song – who says this song is not yet posted. Goodness, this film is yippeee’d long back. So why are we re-posting this song? Sudhir seems to have taken up certain vice (or vices) with unlikeable after effects. 😀 😀
Well, no and yes. No – I have not taken up any such vices 🙂 that may impair my abilities to make decisions about posting songs. And yes – this song, from film ‘Madhumati’ of 1958, is already posted here on our blog. The film ‘Madhumati’ made its debut here on 1st May, 2009. The eleven songs of this film made their appearances over the subsequent four plus years, and film was yippeee’d on 4th Jul, 2013. This song originally appeared on 3rd May, 2009. ‘Madhumati’ is a done deal.
Of course your question still remains – “ये क्या हो रहा है?”. The answer to that follows.
I will try to make the long story short. Beginning of this month, Bakshi ji and I were in Bombay, to attend the annual two day seminar titled ‘Cine Music Beyond Entertainment’, which is arranged by our friend Shri Kushal Gopalka, every year. In one of the post session discussions, I came to know about a very interesting anecdote. The session was on the life and work of music director Vasant Desai.
The anecdote is about the 1971 film ‘Guddi’. The Geet Kosh lists three songs for this film,
The first two songs are penned by Gulzar. The third is a traditional bhajan, written by Meerabai, one of the greatest saints of the Bhakti Movement in India, which originated in India in the eighth century AD. Meerabai, who belonged to the royal family of Mewar (in Rajasthan) spent her time here on this sub continent, in the fifteenth century AD. Music for these three songs is composed by Vasant Desai. All three songs are in the voice of Vani Jairam. When the film released in theaters, it had only these three songs in it.
Now, one of the supervisory activities that the producer and distributor staff undertake, especially in the first one or two weeks of the film exhibition, is that they go to select cinema halls where the film is being shown. They will be present in the hall as the film is being shown, and they will also mingle with the crowd during intermission and at the end of the film. The objective is to pick up and gather live feedback about the film from the audience. It helps them to make some choices and educated decisions about the future exhibition plans.
One thing that happened during this exercise was that the team gathered feedback that sounded negative. One part was the use of only one playback voice, and that too a very fresh debut. Plus the overall summary of live audience feedback sounded disheartening and negative. Immediate discussions happened involving Hrishikesh Mukherji, the producers (Rupam Chitra) and the distributors. One recommendation that came out of these discussions was to somehow modify the mix of songs in the film. It was felt that the bhajan song (of Meerabai) should go. What should replace it? How to create a new song for the film at a short notice? Please note that this description of events is for the very first one or two days after the release of the film.
One of the recommendations from the distributors was to include another song, preferably by Lata Mangeshkar. After quick discussions, it was decided to re-use the song of ‘Madhumati’. I really wonder how fast the decision and action taken process worked. Approvals were sought and taken – Bimal Roy’s estate, Salil Chowdhury et al. The team was reassembled, and the song was picturised. Apparently, the Meera bhajan was in the same setting in the film. At the party, Jaya Bhaduri is performing the Bhajan by Meerabai – “Hari Bin Kaise Jiyun Ri” – an expression of her waiting for Samit to come to the party. This song from ‘Madhumati’ fitted the emotional-expression criteria to the T.
The song was picturzed, it was edited into the film, replacing the bhajan, the censor certificate for revision to the film was applied for and taken. Multiple copies of the revised reel of the film was quickly processed and produced on emergency basis, and distributed to the theatres for immediate change to the film being shown. How fast this whole process worked – one may gauge the speed and success of this whole exercise from the fact that the revision appeared in the theatres before the first week of exhibition was complete, i.e. within the first 5 or 6 days only.
Now, interestingly, Vasant Desai was away from Bombay at that time. Important point to note is that this whole decision making and replacement process happened without the involvement of Vasant Desai, the music director.
Possibly many of our learned friends in this musical bandwagon may already be aware of this. I was not, so this was a startling discovery for me. I must add hurriedly that yes, I have seen this films, possibly more than once, but somehow I do not carry any memory of this song being present in this film.
The booklets of the film do not contain this song. And hence, the Geet Kosh also does not list this song. This song does not appear on the EPs/LPs of this film. This song has no other status in relation to this film, except that yes, it is included in the film. The credits at the beginning of the film remain unchanged. Vani Jairam is the only playback voice, and Vasant Desai is the sole music director. And so, the video of this song is the only evidence that this song is present in the film.
A very, very interesting episode. For me, it brought into very sharp focus, an idea that songs from earlier films are at times, re-used in later films. Before this discussion happened in Bombay, I was aware of one or two such instances. They were just interesting trivia in the mind. After this discussion highlighted this activity so sharply, an idea started to form in my mind. I started to search for more such instances. I searched through my own memory, I researched the remarks and footnotes in the Geet Kosh, and I discussed this with friends and collectors in our group and in my circle, trying to gather more information about such re-use of songs. And when I am able to gather a sizeable list, the thought came to the mind – this is a new series to discuss this very interesting facet of the Hindi film music.
As I am gathering information about such instances, I also became aware af the various modes of re-use. Yes, the re-use happens not only just ‘as is’, but there even are further variations on how this re-use may occur. As we proceed with the series, I will be highlighting and discussing these different re-use ‘styles’. It does make for a very interesting discussion.
And so, here is the first offering of this series. The song from ‘Madhumati’ of 1958 is re-used – as is, ditto, no change – 13 years later in ‘Guddi’ of 1971. Ah, I must correct myself. One change does happen. The original song in ‘Madhumati’ has three stanzas. The re-use version in ‘Guddi’ has only two stanzas. The first stanza of the ‘Madhumati’ version is left out.
This is the very first re-use ‘style’ – the song has been directly used and copied as is. No alterations, no additions, no other changes. Just get approvals, and simply insert the earlier song, as it fits into the storyline. This is the simplest form of re-use. I will be presenting more such instances moving forward.
So view this associated video clip, and listen to the original recording of this song, now being lip synced by Jaya Bhaduri. The scenario is so utterly different. The original setting in ‘Madhumati’ is mountains, forests, river and waterfall. The entire natural surroundings seem to be participating in the earlier picturization of the song. In this later ‘Guddi’ incarnation, this is just a song being sung at a party. The performer, very naturally, is just standing still, as the audience simply watches and waits for the song as it progresses. Absolutely minimal activity and movement in this scene.
Besides Jaya, we can also see Sumita Sanyal, Utpal Dutt and Vijay Sharma in the clip, as family members watching the impromptu performance. Samit Bhanj, for whose benefit and in whose wait, this song is being performed, is seen arriving at the party, just as the song gets started, and he thoughtfully waits just outside the entrance to the room, listening to the song being performed. Amongst the guests at the party, there are many familiar faces – of junior artists that are part of such scenes in films. But their names remain obscure.
Before I close this write-up, another very interesting aside. The film ‘Guddi’ has already been yippeee’d on our blog, as of 20th March, 2013. That is, as per the Geet Kosh list of songs. But now, we have one more additional song from this film. A repeat, but nonetheless another song that is part of this film, performed by the actor(s) in this film. Another cateogry called for – ‘yippeee+‘ – finding more songs in a film that are officially listed for the film. 😀 😀 I am sure there are more than one such instances earlier also, when songs for certain films have been posted that do not appear in the official list of songs.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2009-19) – Song No. 27

Welcome all to today’s(6 april 2019) post in the ‘Blog Ten Year Challenge Series’. The song I am going to present today is, by the standards of the blog, from a very recent movie ‘Raja Hindustani-1996’. And this is the movie falling under ‘Blog 10-year challenge’ today on 06.04.20019.
On this day ten years ago (viz on 6 april 2009), Songs of following movies were posted on the blog:-

All these movies except ‘Raja Hindustani-1996’ have already achieved ‘Yippeeee’ed’ status on the blog. 🙂
If one look back at the years that have passed by after this movie ‘Raja Hindustani-1996’ was released, almost ‘twenty-three’ years have elapsed since. Many things have happened during these twenty-three years in my life. I have been through many changes and shifting of places in my personal life during all these years.
My last post was about my stay at Kota-Rajasthan and my fond memories of that stay. My parents were staying at Parli Vaijnath at that time and my journey to home took thirty-six hours consisting of of train-bus-travel and transit time. The route I would take was Kota to Ratlam by broad gauge train. Ratlam to Purna junction or Indore junction, Indore to Akola and Akola to Parli Vaijnath by bus or Purna to Parli Vaijnath by train of South-Central railway.
Once I had even travelled the complete route by Bus. I travelled from Parli Vaijnath to Akola (seven hours). From Akola I took State Transport Bus for Indore (fourteen hours) and from Indore to Kota another state transport Bus (of MP) travelling almost eight hours.
I was a bachelor then. However, this travel and the journeys continued after my marriage and after having two daughters.
I was still at Kota Site when I got married. So, after that my wife was my co-traveller (:) ) and sometimes we were accompanied by my younger brother or my Father to support us in carrying our luggage. My elder daughter became a new member in our travelling team after her birth. In between my wife was alternatively staying with me for few months and them with my parents at Parli Vaijnath.
Finally, the project at Kota was completed in 1996 and I left for Phulpur-Allahabad leaving my family at Parli Vaijnath.
I reached Phulpur on 15th August 1996 and started there process of settling down there and began looking for a family accommodation so that I could bring my family to stay with me.
I was also doing my graduation through an ‘open university (IGNOU)’ then and did not want to change my study centre Kota. The next examinations were falling due in December and for that I was supposed to travel to Kota again. I attended my exams and took the same route to home via Indore. The Indore connection was important because I had my friends there whose friendship was cultivated by me during my stay at Kota as they were working there for a company from Indore.
I would meet my friends of Indore and spend some time with them. I often stayed at Indore for few days, visited nearby places of interests (tourists places) , some famous temples and watched a few movies also (and that might be a subject of an article in future 🙂 ) But this time, my plan was to visit Kota for my examinations and from there to go to Parli Vaijnath via Indore.
I took a luxury bus from Indore to Akola. This bus had video facility. Those were the days when many people among such bus travellers were quite keen to watch movies in Bus and they would even argue with the transporters if the video was not working. I was more interested in sleeping which was much needed for me because of the previous equally gruelling travel by road.
That day (or rather night) they played two movies back to back. One was ‘Ghatak-1996’ and other was ‘Raja Hindustani-1996’. I watched some parts of these moving in my half-sleep half-awoke state. I liked some songs and some part of both movies. I don’t think I got to watch this movie ‘Raja Hindustani’ again though I recall having watched ‘Ghatak’ again sometime later.
Both the movies were highly successful at the box-office and their music particularly of ‘Raja Hindustani’ was very popular. Both movies earned award nominations and won some of these awards as well.
‘Raja Hindustani-1996’ was directed by Dharmesh Darshan for ‘Cineyug’. It was produced by Alive Morani, Karim Morani and Bunty Soorma. It had Amir Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Johny Level, Navneet Nishan, Veeru Krishnan, Kunal Khemu (child artist then), Pramod Moutho, Mohnish Behl, Tiku Talsania, Farida Jalal and Archana Puran Singh.
Story of this movie was written by Dharmesh Darshan. And he was co-author in writing the dialogues of this movie alongwith Javed Siddiqui.Editing of this movie was done by Bharat.
Lyrics of this movie were written by Sameer. And as per Wikipedia this movie had total eight songs including two multiple version song (where one song was having three versions).
Music of this movie was composed by Nadeem-Shravan. Whereas the background music was given by Surinder Sodhi.
Alka Yagnik, Alisha Chinai, Bela Sulakhe, Kumar Sanu, Sapna Awasthi, Sapna Mukherjee, Suresh Wadkar and Udit Narayan have given their voices to the songs of this movie.
‘Raja Hindustani-1996’ was released (as per ‘wiki’) on 15th November’1996.
This movie had some very good soundtracks and as mentioned by Atul ji while posting the first song of the movie Aaye ho meri zindagi me tum bahaar banke
, couple of them were reminiscent of the music of the seventies.
When I noted that this movie was eligible for ‘ten-year challenge’, I promptly decided to take up the ‘challenge’. 🙂 I noted that this song has a female version to, and so it was a ‘multiple version’ song. I am sending our editors the lyrics for the female version of this song and requesting them to update the same in the post of this song.
Personally, I like this song Aaye ho meri zindagi me tum bahaar banke (both versions) very much. After watching this movie on that bus journey, this song was playing in my mind for the next few days. Another song “Kitna pyaara tujhe rab ne banaaya” was also very good.
And what to say about the song under discussion ! It was an enormous hit. This song was the highlight of the movie for many people.
The movie was inspired by ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile-1965’. If that 1965 movie had a “pardesi” song viz ‘pardesiyon se ankhiyaan milaana’, then ‘Raja Hindustani-1996’ had ‘its own “pardesi” song, viz Pardesi Pardesi Jaana Nahin’- which is the song under discussion.
The ‘pardesi’ song from ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile’ was a multiple version song having three versions. Not to be left behind, this “Raja Hinustani” song also has three versions. This song plays important role in taking the story of the movie forward. Like when heroine’s father comes to know about his daughter falling in love with a taxi driver, then – when the hero-heroine are separated due to misunderstanding , with heroine’s stepmother sowing seeds of ‘conflict’ further and heroine is also pregnant at this time, and finally third time – in the end when all ends well and the hero and heroine are re-united.
During all those years I had forgotten that this song was a multiple version song with three versions, and the ‘challenge’ hence got compounded for me. I had to listen to this song many times during its drafting. Also, with the female version to the earlier song added this post serve a purpose of ‘four songs’ “)
In the Suresh Wadkar version of ‘pardesi pardesi jaana nahin’ the hero sings couple of lines which in one version is lip synced by the hero and in another version he lip-syncs in Udit Narayan’s voice. Credit for this third version also mentioned the name of Udit Narayan (as taken from ‘wiki’ page of this movie), I think that is correct. I would request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this and correct please.
With today’s song on the blog plus addition of the female version to the earlier song this movie ‘Raja Hindustani’ will have its five songs covered on the blog.
I know you are eager to listen this song again after so many years so without taking this article too long I am taking you to the song instead which itself is like an ‘epic song’. 🙂
To finish the tale, after reaching Parli Vaijnath, I travelled back to Phulpur, with my wife and daughter accompanying me, with my father also travelling with us to help us in getting settled at Phulpur.
We stayed at Phulpur for a few months, before it was time for my wife to rejoin my parents at Parli Vaijnath in what could be described as a “Pardesi pardesi jaana nahin” situation for me. 🙂
The first part of the song is sung by Sapna Awasthi (lip syncing by Kalpana Iyer), Alka Yagnik (for Pratibha Sinha) and Udit Narayan (lip synced by Aamir Khan).
Second version is sung by Kumar Sanu (on Aamir Khan) and Alka Yagnik (on Karishna Kapoor).
The movie ending third version is sung by Suresh Wadkar (for Johny Lever), Bela Sulakhe (for Navneet Nishan) and Udit Narayan (for Aamir Khan).

Missing Films of 1960s – 98

It is such a delight to ferret out unheard songs from obscure and unfamiliar films. So many times, I come across the film names and then move on because it is unfamiliar. So many times I pause at a film folder in my collection, thinking whether I have opened it before. But then usually, other pressing matters take precedence and I say ‘oh well’, and move on.
But there are other times, when I have to get inside the folder and check out the contents. Like today’s song. A film like ‘Kaurav Pandav’ from a year like 1970 – never read anything about the film, never heard its music before, not sure what I will find in there, given the names of artists. But you know what, over the years, experience has taught me that the contents of such folders almost always never fail to surprise – with one or more forgotten gems that are almost lost under the sand dunes of time.
What does one say for the song like this post? Remarkable, unheard gem, lovely melodious, rare of the rare, never heard of the film – are some comments I get from friends after they hear my upload on YouTube. What a superlative find this song is. Suman Kalyanpur at her subdued best, meaningful and wonderful lyrics from Anjaan, and a melody that is such a lovely reminiscent throwback on the golden era of melody – from another obscure artist of that era – Suresh Kumar. All the attributes come together to bring out such a lovely song – the type that you won’t even get to hear on Radio Ceylon (now SLBC).
This film also has an alternate title – ‘Sampoorn Mahabharat’. The film is produced under the banner of Firdaus Films, Bombay and is directed by S Dosani. The star cast includes Arvind Pandya, Sadhana Khote, Meenakshi, Shyam Irani, Shetty, Shri Bhagwan, Anjum, Fazal Khan, Jilani, Radheshyam, Dinesh Kumar, Pintu, Jagdish Kanwal, Prem Sagar, Amrit Rana, Prakash, RP Kapoor, Champaklala, V Prem, Narbada Shankar, Bihari Singh, Shri And Shrimati Kapoor, Savita, Krishna Duggal, and Vasundhara.
Geet Kosh lists 6 songs for this film, four written by Anjaan and two by Yogesh. This song is from the pen of Anjaan. Music is by Suresh Kumar, a lesser known music director from 1950s and 60s; he also created music as one partner in the duo of Suresh-Talwar.
What else to say – just listen to the song. And the wonder is that this, and many more like this, are still unheard, still hidden, and many may even be lost already. But of course, small mercies to be grateful for, that we find what we can. And we listen and enjoy.
Brief note about the homework assignment from Khyati Ben. We are now shortly coming to the end of this series – a handful of traceable films remain. We should get the century milestone with this series in a few days. Then we will be able to claim that all possible films of 1960s which can be traced wherever, are now represented here. I will give the specific numbers when I close this series.
So how about someone doing a similar exercise for the 1950s. If someone takes up the task to list out all the pending films of 1950s, I promise that I will go after to locate and trace and bring them up here on our blog. Request is to all members of bandwagon – one enthusiastic volunteer needed. 🙂
