Most of the songs in this blog are from 1970s and earlier. It does not mean that I do not like songs from 1980s and later. It is just that I lost track of Bollywood music from 1980 onwards. Also, trends like blanant plagiarism, lyrics losing their importance, creation of songs in bad taste, demise of many legends from the scene, etc meant that the music of later decades does not appeal to me as much as the music of earlier decades.

on:I have read a lot about this song called “Hum matwaale naujawaan”. I was not much aware of this song. In fact, there is another song with similar lyrics sung by Rafi and Mukesh from a 1961 movie which itself is called “Hum matwaale naujawan”. But this song “hum matwaale naujawaan” is from an earlier movie called “Shararat” and is sung by Kishore Kumar.
