Today’s post is Prakashchandrajee’s farmaish. He requested me to choose an Asha Bhosle song filmed on Daljeet Kaur Khangura. She is already represented on this blog with an Asha Bhosle song.
Daljeet Kaur Khangura was an Indian actress best known for her substantial contribution to Punjabi cinema, where she was one of the leading female stars of the 1970s and 1980s. She also appeared in Hindi films and worked in Punjabi cinema for several decades. She was sometimes referred to as the “Hema Malini of Punjabi cinema”, reflecting both her popularity and her status as a leading actress of her generation.

In the first eleven episodes of the series, we listed actresses whose names begin with the first eleven letters of the alphabet and who had lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog. Then we went on to cover a song that was lip synced by another acresses whose name began with the same letter and who had not lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog.
The exercise of finding a “new” actress whose name begins with a particular letter is being increasingly difficult. The three “new” actresses who made their debuts in the blog (as far as lip syncing in Asha Bhonsle’s voice is concerned) were Anju Mahendru, Bhanupriya, Chandrakala, Divya Bharati, Ekta,Farheen, Gulnar Irani, Harsha Mehra, Isha Koppikar, Jasmine and Khushboo.
In this episode, we arrive at the letter L. There are eleven actresses whose name begin with L who have lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog.

Yesterday I visited the page again on the song ‘Tum Apna Ranj o Gham, Apni Pareshaani Mujhe De Do‘. I know the words are ‘badi shai hai agar‘, on which there is the long thread of comments. ‘Shai’, in common urdu is a thing or an object. ‘badi shai hai ‘ literally means , its a big thing or a big deal. As it is said in English that ‘its a big deal for me’ or means a lot to me.
