“Ujaala” (1959) was an Eagle Films Production. It was produced by F C Mehra and directed by Naresh Saigal. The movie had Shammi Kapoor, Mala Sinha, Raj Kumar, Kumkum, Leela Chitnis, Dhumal etc in it.

I am always sour at the double standards of Indians. The revere “cow” but treat its cousin “bhains” (water buffalo) with ridicule. Many of the pejorative sayings in India are associated with bhains ( viz Kala akshar bhains baraabar, bhains ke aage been bajaana etc.)

The movie is “Jaane Anjaane”( 1971). This movie was more “anjaane “(unknown) than “jaane”(known) even in those days, not to speak of today as this movie had flopped at the box`office. The movie had an over the hill Shammi Kapoor and a young Leena Chandavarkar in the lead roles.
