‘Shrimaanji’ (1968) was produced and directed by Ram Dayal under his banner, Mukul Enterprises. The cast included Kishore Kumar, I S Johar, Jeevan, Asha Nadkarni, Meena Rai, Shahida, Asit Sen, Wasti, Murad, Ram Kamlani, Hiralal, Neelam, W M Khan, Veena, Madhumati, Sharifa etc.
With Kishore Kumar and I S Johar in the main roles, apparently, the film belongs to comedy genre. However, the first 30 minutes of the film is melodramatic. It is only when the two protagonists turn to their adulthoods, the story gets switched over to comedy until the last about 30 minutes when the story turns into a murder and court room drama. There is no actress in the lead role in the film.

Hullo Atuldom
“Hamjoli” (1970) was produced by Prasan Kapoor for Tirupati Pictures meaning it was Jeetendra’s home production. T. R. Ramanna was the director.
“”Hamjoli” was the remake of the 1964 Tamil hit ‘Panakkara Kudumbam’ (transl. Rich Family) starring M. G. Ramachandran. That film released on 24 April 1964, and ran for more than 150 days in theatres. The film was remade in Hindi in 1970 as ‘Humjoli’, in Kannada in 1978 as ‘Bhale Huduga’, and in Telugu in 1984 as ‘Intiguttu’. All versions except ‘Intiguttu’ were directed by the same director, T. R. Ramanna.
