“Fariyaad”(1964) was produced and directed by Kidar Sharma for Show People, Bombay. The movie had Ashok, Zeb Rehman aka Preeti Bala, Dilip Dutt, Mohan Choti, Achala Sachdev, Gyani, Gopal Sehgal, Bela Bose, Apsara, Malik, Maria, Tuntun, Sayeeda, Najma, Shabani, Raj Maria etc in it.

“Fariyaad”(1964) had six songs in it. Five songs have been covered in the blog so far.

The sixth and final song from the movie is sung by Mubarak Begam and Suman Kalyapur. Kidar Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by Snehal Bhatkar.

As can be noticed from the lyrics, this song is about Chinese aggression on a totally unprepared India in 1962. It exhorts the youth of India to come forward to protect the nation.

Only audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.
