Today’s song is an ‘all female qawwaali song’ from the 1964 movie ‘Jaadui Angoothi’.
So far, I have been presenting qawwaalis from the decade of seventies on the blog. For a change today, I am presenting this one from the decade of sixties. In fact, today’s song was lying with me since long and Initially I sent only the audio of this song (the only vailable version at that time). But now the movie as well as the video of this songs has become available online.
‘Jaadui Angoothi’ of 1964 alias ‘Magic Ring’ was directed by AM Khan for AM Khan Productions, Bombay’. It had Chitra, Manhar Desai, Sheri, Krishna Kumari, SK Shaam, Anil Kashmiri, Jilani, Uma Khosla, Violet, Ameerbai Karnataki, Sujata, Saroj, Sabina, Balwant Sharma, Kallan, Bagla, Chaman, Deva Kumari, Kanta Kumari, Polson and others.
This movie had five songs composed by Suresh Kumar. Lyrics were written by Anjaan and Zafar Rahi. Here is the list of songs of this movie.

HFGK mentions Anjaan and Zafar Rahi for one song each on the movie details page of this movie and in ‘Addenda’ it further mentions Zafar Rahi as lyricist for song number three. The songwriter for song nos. 1 and 5 are not specifically identified. Asha Bhonsle, Mahendra Kapoor, Minoo Purshottam, Sulochana Chavhan, Subir Sen and Kamal Barot have given their voices to the songs in this movie.
Story and screenplay of this movie was written by Munshi Nayaab, and dialogues were written by AK Khan. Editing of this movie was done by GG Patil and he was assisted by Rohi Das.

Singers’ name for the today’s song is not mentioned in HFGK Vol-IV (1961-1970). Also, I am unable to identify the actresses who are performing this song on screen. I would request knowledgeable readers to help in identifying the actresses lip-syncing this song. The lady sitting on the throne is most likely Chitra.
While listening to this song when it ends it seems that it is not a full version of this song, but in the movie (available online) also only this much part is available for this song.
