“Pugree”(1948) was directed by Anant Thakur for All India Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Kamini Kaushal, Vasti, Shashikala, Amar, Gope, Dixit, Pratima Devi, Ramavtar, Chopra, Rane, K S Sengar, Rahim , Pahalwan etc in it.
Eight songs from the movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the ninth and final song from “Pugree”(1948) to appear in the blog.
This song is sung by Sitara Kanpuri. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ghulam Mohammad.
This melancholic song is picturised on Kamini Kaushal.
I havve not been able to get a word right in the lyrics of the song. I request our readers with keener ears to tell us what word that could be.
